Trump had strong support in Arizona and won all 58 of its delegates in the primary yesterday. Cruz had the support of religious extremists in Utah, and was victorious in its caucus. What does it mean; nothing.
National polls continue to give Trump a lead of more than 16 points over Cruz. Trump leads in every state offering a large number of delegates; Cruz in lesser numbers.
They do share one belief; all Muslims are evil, and should be banned from our nation. They also share the fact that they offer no solutions to the problem, because they have no experience or knowledge regarding international relations. They would be a disaster for our nation’s military and security services. Both men are arrogant and would refuse the wisdom of those who have studied international situations for decades.
Tuesday means absolutely nothing, because Republican leadership has made the decision not to grant Trump the nomination at the convention in July.
In two weeks, on April 5th, The Wisconsin primary will be held. Donald Trump presently has a large lead in the polls over Ted Cruz. The event is ‘winner take all,’ offering 42 delegates to the victor. That would give Trump 781 delegates to Cruz 465.
Republican leadership is gambling. They are aware that states with large delegate counts or nearing their primaries. They are desperate, hoping that endorsements by other failed Republicans will inspire voters to cast their ballots for Cruz. If he receives 1,237 delegates before July 18th, will the establishment deny Trump his victory?
If this is their decision, the Republican Party has suffered death by suicide. Republican voters must place the blame on themselves, and their poor choices in national elections. Voting for a party rather than the most qualified candidate is a serious mistake, and has destroyed our Democratic Republic.
Reince Priebus, John Boehner, and Mitch McConnell are those responsible for our government’s destruction, and the success of Trump. His supporters are voicing their anger at a leadership which has failed them for more than ten years.
The only point of interest in yesterday’s primaries was that Trump increased his delegate count. Cruz celebrated his “huge victory” in Utah on “CBS This Morning,” but never mentioned his “huge loss” in the more valuable state of Arizona.
A final note; Trump and Cruz share two more ‘qualities;’ they are both dishonest and ignorant men who have no interest in the future of our nation. Their goals are their ambitions, not those of the American people.
