I wrote some time ago that the only way to prevent the Republican Party from destruction was to support the party’s front runner, and insure that he became the party’s nominee at the convention in July. Instead, the ‘not so smart’ GOP leadership has continued its efforts to destroy Donald Trump’s campaign. They are willing to discount nearly 40 percent of Republican voters and guarantee a fractured party which may not find a way to heal.
Republican establishment continues to deny the facts; Republican voters are angry, and a recent poll reveals that they are ashamed of their party’s actions during the 2016 campaign season.
It is laughable that the ignorant leadership of the GOP continues their failed efforts to derail Trump. He only becomes stronger. Yesterday he easily won the GOP primary in Arizona, and was awarded all 58 delegates. Trump now has 739 of the 1,237 needed to win the nomination. Cruz has secured 465.
Here’s the saddest part of the story. Republicans all agree that Ted Cruz is unqualified to be our nation’s president. He is the most hated man in Washington. He is not a real Republican; he is the leader of the TEA Party. His only plan for America is to destroy its government. He led the shut down in 2013, and would destroy all social programs for the majority while creating a path to war in the Middle East.
But that doesn’t stop Republicans from supporting him against Donald Trump. Republicans consider winning elections far more important than the future of America and the welfare of our nation’s people.
Now Jeb Bush and his Super PAC, ‘Club for Growth,’ has endorsed Cruz. It is somewhat interesting to me that the biggest losers in the 2016 campaign have endorsed Cruz. Both Marco Rubio and now Bush were enormous failures as they attempted to win the GOP nomination. Both displayed a sufficient lack of intelligence to qualify them to lead our nation. They were terrible campaigners, and failed to excite their followers. In one sentence; they said nothing to impress Republican voters and earn their support.
On Facebook, Bush issued the following: “I wanted you all to be the first to know that today I am endorsing Ted Cruz for President.
“Ted is a consistent, principled conservative who has demonstrated the ability to appeal to voters and win primary contests, including yesterday’s Utah caucus.” Really? Consistent? He is the biggest panderer in history. Principled? He will say or do anything to get elected, and has no solutions for our nation’s domestic problems. In fact, he opposes all proposals which would positively affect the majority of the American people. He leads all politicians in support of the one-percent and special interests.
Jeb Bush: You are nothing but a hypocrite, and I am thankful that there will not be another Bush in the White House. America needs great leaders, not failed politicians. We don’t want a Trump, a Cruz, and definitely not a Bush or Rubio.
The cowardly attacks in Brussels yesterday confirm the fact that the United States must be a leader in finding a solution to destroying ISIS. Our nation’s president must be a great diplomat, and encourage all of the leaders in the area to focus on a single enemy; America cannot lead the effort on the battlefield and give ISIS additional credibility and recruitment power.
But our next president must also recognize that the greatest dangers to the future of the vast majority of America’s people remain unsolved. Income inequality and a failing educational system are only two serious problems for the average American.
Republicans once again are attempting to use a tragedy to divert attention from the overall picture which faces our next president. Our nation needs an experienced leader, not a loudmouth who says a lot but has no solutions. Trump is a buffoon, and I don’t want a circus clown living in the White House. I also reject an ambitious and destructive Ted Cruz who, by his actions, hates the America created by our founding fathers.
