Republicans Make Stronger Efforts to Prove they are Racists and Bigots

Deal

Republicans must stop pretending that Donald Trump is not speaking for them. The only difference between some in the GOP and Trump, is that few of them are open and forthright about their beliefs. When Trump makes bigoted or racist remarks, his supporters accept them, because someone is finally speaking loudly for them.

If Republicans have any concern that the majority of Americans believe that Trump is speaking for all of them, they must control some of the governors in red states and their obvious attempts to eliminate freedom and equality for all of their states people.

Voter ID laws in red states have nothing to do with voter fraud; it simply does not exist. It is an obvious effort to decrease the number of black men and women coming to the polls. FOX Noise’ two leading entertainers, Bill O’Reilly and Sean Hannity, continue to deny the fact that blacks are treated differently than whites in our cities by law enforcement.

Since the day Barrack Obama was elected, Republicans displayed their dismay that a black man had been elected President of the United States. The do not oppose him because of his ideas, they hate him because he is an intelligent black man, the direct opposite of his predecessor.

The Republican governors of Georgia and North Carolina are under fire for efforts to make discrimination against the LGBT community legal.

In North Carolina, Pat McCrory signed into law a bill passed by the state senate 32-0; all Democrats had walked out in protest.

The law prohibits local governments from passing legislation to protect the LGBT community from discrimination related to public housing and accommodations such as public restrooms. This is simply another effort to introduce religion into our laws, and deny a group of our citizens their Constitutional rights.

Georgia’s Republican Governor, Nathan Deal, has serious problems in his attempts to legalize discrimination. Georgia’s bill would allow ministers and businesses to refuse services to members of the LGBT community. But that is just the beginning.

CBS, NBCU, MGM & Discovery have all indicated that if Deal signs the bill, they will cease production in Georgia. All have made statements that they are ‘inclusive’ companies who refuse to condone prejudiced actions.

A huge loss for Georgia would be a Super Bowl in Atlanta in 2019, 2020, or 2021. The NFL made this statement:

“NFL policies emphasize tolerance and inclusiveness, and prohibit discrimination based on age, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, or any other improper standard,” said NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy. “Whether the laws and regulations of a state and local community are consistent with these policies would be one of many factors NFL owners may use to evaluate potential Super Bowl host sites.”

A new stadium is under construction at a cost of $600 million. The costs were expected to be partially funded by a lucrative Super Bowl. At present, the cost is supported by state and local tax dollars.

Republicans just don’t get it. The vast majority of the American people support gay rights, including same-sex marriage. We abhor racism. Simply put; ‘we want our country back.’ We are tired of the attempts of special interest groups and corrupt politicians to divide our nation’s people.

Some naïve Americans believed that racism and bigotry were less frequent in the 21st century. Sadly, it is just the opposite. Thanks to politicians on the extreme right of our system, these negative qualities are on the rise. Conservatives have used fear and hatred to spread their vile beliefs.

How do you know if you are a racist or a bigot? Try reciting the ‘Pledge of Allegiance.’ If you don’t believe in every word, you are a prejudiced individual.
