Does anyone know who the Republican establishment is; and who are the party’s leaders? The only answer I can find is that the money behind the party is dictating its actions. Mitch McConnell, Paul Ryan, and Reince Priebus are obviously not in control; none of them could lead a boy scout troop. So, who is organizing the anti-Trumpenstein effort?

It can only be the same politicians who created him. Before he became a presidential candidate, he was welcomed by the establishment. He was a popular speaker at GOP events, especially CPAC. Attendees yelled in approval at his outrageous rants, but that was then; this is now.

Whoever is running the asylum, they are in denial. Claims have been made by failed Republicans such as Mitt Romney, John McCain, and Lindsey Graham that a Trump candidacy will destroy the Republican Party. I have news for these naïve and slightly insane men; ‘the party’s already over.’

What do they believe will happen at the convention? Trump has the most loyal supporters in politics, with the exception of Bernie Sanders. If he is refused the nomination, his supporters will riot. The GOP has already lost 40 percent of its voters to Trump.

I would be remiss if I left Ted Cruz out of the discussion. He is now supported by mainstream Republicans, the same group which ostracized him only a month ago. Cruz is a prevaricator, a panderer, an egotist, and would be dangerous as our nation’s president; but Republicans are now his biggest fans.

Although he sunk to Trump’s level as both men attacked each other’s wives, once again inflamed Muslims, and chose a top security advisor who is well known as one of our nation’s leading Islamophobes, he is the ‘golden boy.’ Adding to Cruz’ woes are claims that the junior Senator from Florida is guilty of marriage infidelity.

From the first debate last August, it was clear that the inmates were running the asylum. It was immediately obvious that not one of the 17 passengers in the clown car was qualified to lead our nation. The few solutions they offered to our nation’s people were labeled, ‘ridiculous,’ ‘unworkable,’ and ‘insane.’ Their sketchy tax plans were all labeled as a bonus for the one-percent.

If you doubt a single word of this article, just take a look at the true leader of the Republican Party. Trump has exposed the insides of every Republican politician. Racists, bigots, misogynists, Islamophobes, and homophobes compose the GOP. Labeling Trump is easy, but his supporters must also be defined by the man they worship.

Not since George H.W. Bush has the GOP experienced a true Republican who believed in serving all of the American people. Bill Clinton was forced to deliberate with Newt Gingrich, and then Dennis Hastert. George W. Bush, under the guidance of Karl Rove, began the Republican tactic of campaigning by attacking your opponents with half-truths and blatant lies. His administration divided our nation to a level only experienced previously during the Civil War. He is the reason we now have ‘red’ and ‘blue’ states.

When Barrack Obama was elected as our first black president, Mitch McConnell displayed his lack of sufficient brain cells as he promised to instruct Republican Senators not to do anything with the exception of make Mr. Obama a one-term president. Way to go, Mitch.

John Boehner attempted to use tears to make the American people believe that he cared about our nation. Displaying an extremely low intelligence level, he was unable to control a small group of extremists within the House, eventually resigning.

Failing the American people, by electing lunatics to the House and Senate, Republican voters proved that they are as insane as those they placed into office. Now that our government is broken, we know where to place the blame. Low intellect and a lack of ability to think clearly and honestly inspired voters to cast their ballots for anyone who had an ‘R’ next to their name on a ballot.

So, my fellow quasi-Americans, welcome to 2016 and the asylum you have built.
