Focus on Trump Diverts Discussion About the Issues

CPAC

The media loves Donald Trump, and they can’t deny it. For nine months he has given them lots to talk about. They are proving that they are one of the major obstructions in efforts by some of our legislators and presidential candidates to discuss the vital issues which will be faced by whoever succeeds President Obama. Although they know that he has no knowledge of how government actually functions, and lacks sufficient intelligence to lead our nation, they have covered his campaign five-times more frequently than the other candidates.

Although I continue to believe that all 17 original passengers in the clown car were unqualified to lead our nation, none of them had the opportunity to actually reveal their positions on the issues, if they had any.

The television networks seldom cover anything Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders have to say, unless one of them criticizes the other, or a misspoken word raises a minor controversy.

Today’s print, radio, and television media cannot be labeled ‘news publications,’ or ‘news networks.’ There is far too much discussion, and opinions are offered continuously. Real newsmen and women reported the facts and allowed the people to make their own decisions.

All television media has adopted the sad faux-journalism tactics of FOX Noise; they subtly convince the public that their opinion is the right opinion. Freedom of thought has become a rarity.

By focusing on Trump and the consternation he has created in the Republican Party, the importance of the 2016 election has been ignored, and possibly diminished.

The Trump phenomena is simply the culmination of 10 years of failure by Republican leadership; GOP voters are displaying their anger and disgust with the party of ‘no.’ Political pundits, and the media would love to make it more complicated, but in reality there is nothing mysterious about the debacle which is Donald Trump.

The only interesting fact about the situation is the hypocrisy of the Republican establishment. Ted Cruz is the most hated member of Congress, including his constituents. Reince Priebus and his cronies have displayed the fact that they would do anything to derail Trump; they are now supporting their second least-favorite candidate.

If news cannot be reported without bias, and within one-half hour, it is an entertainment show. Too many opinions and very little substance is the composition of most network and cable ‘news.’

The fact is that Trump is not news. If he wasn’t representing the Republican Party, he would simply be another bigot, racist, and misogynist running for governor in a red state. Trump says a lot of vile things, and speaks about some legitimate problems our nation is experiencing, but neither he or Ted Cruz offer a single viable solution; they have none.

I will always tell the truth, and write articles about subjects forbidden by the owners of the major media. I will not be ‘politically correct,’ and I will reveal the person behind the image they offer in public.

Donald Trump should have been discounted nine months ago, but the media kept him in the forefront of the American people. Insiders claim that he never thought he would win the party’s nomination; he was simply being Donald, and seeking public attention.

Today he is the symbol of the Republican Party. Who knew?
