FOX Played a Role in the Republican Party’s Demise

FOX

I have been claiming that Donald Trump’s success is not the major reason why the Republican Party is imploding for months. Some unbiased media are finally admitting the truth, although that doesn’t include CBS, ABC, NBC, and of course FOX.

FOX has been hiding under a smokescreen for years; it is not a news network; it is a right wing propaganda machine. From its beginning it has viciously attacked everyone on the left side of the aisle, while denying the crimes of Republicans, including those of the Bush Administration. Its celebrities have used tactics of fear and hatred to divide our nation and influence uninformed GOP voters to cast their ballots for candidates who have an “R” next to their name, regardless of his or her qualifications.

FOX not only supported the least qualified candidate in our nation’s history when Sarah Palin became John McCain’s fatal mistake, it invited her to have her own show on the network. She accelerated the network’s policies of spreading hatred through lies and misdirection. O’Reilly, Hannity, Kelly, Beck, and many more have become wealthy through negative action and rhetoric.

FOX has brainwashed millions of Americans and are much of the blame for our broken government. It encouraged Republican legislators to avoid deliberation and compromise pertaining to the most important issues facing our nation. It encouraged racism by denying the facts exposing unfair treatment of black men and women vs its policies regarding white Americans. It has attempted to force religion on millions of Americans who refuse any affiliation with religion. It has never told the truth about the Obama administration and its successes. Instead, they blamed him for failures which were the result of right wing extremism.

Republican leadership mistakenly believed that with the assistance of FOX, it could continue its failed policies and win elections.

The phenomena of Donald Trump is Republican voter’s response to the GOP establishment. They are angry at the direction the party has taken. After the 2012 election, Reince Priebus, John Boehner, and Mitch McConnell promised a new approach, a new effort to influence additional demographics to join the GOP. The problem is that the principles and values of the Republican Party no longer exist. This is a new and unimproved GOP. Their base remains the same, and their support of special interests defines them.

There are many factors which have contributed to the implosion of the Republican Party. Radicals such as Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, the TEA Party, Dick Cheney, Newt Gingrich, and Ted Cruz all contributed to the lack of public faith. But FOX must accept the majority of the blame.

The fatal bullet may have come last August during the first Republican ‘debate.’ To everyone who watched it, other than the mainstream media, it was an obvious conspiracy between FOX and the RNC to derail Trump’s campaign. They used an ambitious Megyn Kelly to make personal attacks on Trump, failing to initiate a discussion of the issues. It backfired, as proven by the rise in Trump’s poll numbers the following day.

FOX is worse that the ‘Hearst’ newspapers of the mid twentieth century. They were called “rags;” FOX can be labeled “Fantasies for the Uniformed Adult.”
