Ted Cruz is a Worse Choice than Trump, and a Danger to America

Evil

Ted Cruz was sworn into office in January of 2013. He immediately began to void his oath of office as he led the movement to shut down our government and cause harm to our political system. He began to push his own extreme agenda and destroy advances made for the majority of Americans during the last 60 years. He not only denied the rights of Democrats to join in the legislative process, he attacked members of the party which allowed this TEA Party darling to remain in office; Republicans.

Recently, Lindsey Graham, the senior Republican Senator from South Carolina, said: “If you kill Ted Cruz on the floor of the Senate, and the trial was in the Senate, nobody could convict you.” However, today Graham supports him for the presidency.

Not only is this hypocritical, it is criminal. Supporting anyone who you knew would be a horrible leader of the free world is denying the hope and future of the American people. This is the ultimate proof of why political parties are bad for government; the new rule is party first, America second.

Republican leadership appears to be winning in its efforts to ensure that Donald Trump fails to obtain the 1,237 delegates needed to secure the Republican nomination before the convention begins in July. They have proven to me that they do not respect GOP voters, they have no concern for the future of our once great nation.

Trump is a truly despicable human being, no one with a sound mind can deny that fact, but he would be a far better president than Ted Cruz. Cruz is an extremist, and denies the Constitutional rights of most Americans. He would be destructive. Among his many actions to destroy the American way of life would be repealing social security and Medicare; eliminating the Affordable Care Act; defunding Planned Parenthood; and attempt to make Christianity our national religion, in direct violation of the first amendment.

Trump says that he would work with Democrats if elected and restore our government. Cruz would uphold the oath he made to the owners of the TEA Party and refuse to negotiate with those on the left side of the aisle.

Trump’s offensive rhetoric is just that; hot air. Almost nothing of what he proposes can be accomplished, but his ignorant supporters believe him. Cruz does not love the nation founded by our forefathers; he would reform it into a plutocracy and allow the super-rich to own our government.

I implore you; deny Ted Cruz his fascist plans for our nation. One man’s ideas cannot become those of an entire nation. If you scrutinize both Republican candidates closely, you will know that Cruz is the worst possible choice for the future of our nation.
