Bernie Stood High Above Hillary Thursday Night

BS

Putting it simply, Bernie Sanders kicked Hillary Clinton’s a**. She failed miserably on several issues including her support from Wall Street. When the questioning focused on fracking she was destroyed. Sanders also stood on higher ground when the discussion moved to minimum wage and education.

Hillary Clinton knew that she was in trouble when she failed to directly answer questions about donations to her campaign from Wall Street, and revealing the content of speeches she made for large banks. Sanders reiterated his position, standing with the beliefs of Thomas Jefferson, that the big banks must be broken up and their control of the American economy removed.

Sanders is against all fracking operations by the petroleum industry, while Clinton has supported this most environmentally dangerous mining practice ever invented by big oil; she was speechless.

But the temperature in the room rose quickly when the subjects of minimum wage and education were presented.

Sanders forced Clinton to admit that she did not support a $15 per hour minimum wage. She believes that the federal minimum wage should be raised to $12 per hour. This is in opposition to tens of millions of American workers who are forced to accept minimum wage jobs in an attempt to support their families.

Sanders believes that America should follow other nations and offer free college education for any American who wants it. Clinton does not.

Sanders summed up his criticism of the former Secretary of State:

“Does Secretary Clinton have the intelligence, the experience to be president? Of course she does, but I do question her judgment,” he said. “I question a judgment which voted for the war in Iraq, the worst foreign policy blunder in the history of this country; voted for virtually every disastrous trade agreement which cost us millions of decent-paying jobs. And I question her judgment about running super PACs which are collecting tens of millions of dollars from special interests, including $15 million from Wall Street.”

I support Bernie Sanders; the American people desperately need someone who speaks for them and only for the majority. Bernie is 100 percent correct and honest in the policies he suggests. That said, it is highly doubtful that he can win the Democratic nomination.

Clinton leads Sanders by more than ten points in New York, and by fifteen in Pennsylvania. The truth is that Hillary has the numbers.

Do I believe that Clinton would be a good president; a resounding yes. I have never been 100 percent satisfied with any of our nation’s leaders, at least those who served during my lifetime, and I don’t expect to be.

When I look at the alternatives; Donald Trump or Ted Cruz; Hillary is a shining star. Neither Republican candidate believes in American values, and neither supports the majority of the American people. Both would be a danger to the future of the United States and an embarrassment to the American people.

Bernie Sanders would be the closest to a perfect candidate I have supported in my days on this earth, but if the best candidate always won elections, Al Gore would have resided in the White House on January 20, 2001. The tragic events of 9/11 would likely have been thwarted, and Iraq would not have been invaded. ISIS would not exist, and our nation would not have experienced the great recession.

I will support Hillary; she may not be the best of all possible choices, but she is far superior to the rest.
