The Republican Establishment is blaming Donald Trump for the party’s fracture. Today, Sarah Palin blamed the establishment. Mitch McConnell is ignoring the situation; as usual. Reince Priebus is not denying responsibility, nor confirming it, but he is definitely not attempting to repair the situation. No one who is considered a party leader will admit that they are struggling to defeat Trump by using the man they hate most, Ted Cruz, to assist them; hypocrites one and all.
John McCain is very upset and concerned about the future of his party. Once a man who care about his ‘country first,’ he now says that he will vote for the Republican candidate, regardless of who it is. He is now ‘party first,’ f**k the country.
He joins the others and refuses accept any of the responsibility for the fracturing of the GOP. His selection of Sarah Palin, who surrendered her membership in the Republican Party to join the radical and obstructionist TEA Party, played a huge role in the destruction of our government and the rise of Donald Trump. Republican voters are not as ignorant as many of the failed politicians on the right believed.
“We’ve got so many problems—there are a myriad of problems. None of this is going to turn out well for the Republican Party,” a dismayed McCain told reporters.
“I am at a loss. OK? I do not know what’s going to happen. I just don’t see that a lot of it’s going to turn out well. Because there are too many divisions within our party.”
John, let’s act like a man and accept the fact that you also share a portion of the blame for the collapse of your party. You have reneged your principles and beliefs; you no longer represent the American people. Today your philosophy is “McCain first, what country?”
No one in the Republican Party has one ounce of courage. They are all running; fearful of losing an election. They have lost all respect from Democrats and Independents, and are now losing the support of voters from their own party.
Did anyone believe that wusses such as John Boehner and Mitch McConnell would lead the Republican Party to future success? Thanks to them nothing was accomplished by Congress in the last seven years. They criticize the President’s ‘executive orders,’ but they refuse to deliberate our nation’s problems. Today McConnell won’t even allow a hearing to fill the empty seat on the Supreme Court.
RNC Chairman Reince Priebus is a complete failure. He promised positive change after the party’s loss in 2012, and not only has nothing changed, the party has become more extreme and totally incapable of governing.
The implosion of the Republican Party is just that; it was caused by all of the GOP. The TEA Party, or Freedom Caucus, whatever they want to call themselves, held to the oath made to its owners and refused to negotiate or compromise. Mainstream Republicans allowed this small group to control the inactions of the party and caused gridlock in Washington.
Playing a huge part in the party’s demise are also entities outside of Washington. FOX Noise, the Koch brothers, the NRA gun lobby, the Christian Religious Right, Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, and others have placed their beliefs ahead of the American people and destroyed a once Grand Old Party.
There is plenty of blame to go around, and plenty of men and women to blame for the irreparable situation.
