Rush Limbaugh is one of America’s greatest destructors. The radio host and extreme conservative is one of the primary reasons for the extreme division in our nation, and the spread of fear and anger which permeates our country’s people.
His support of Republican candidates is manic depressive; he praises them at one moment and then berates them with enormous vile in the next. Maybe I am mistaken, and he is simply suffering from the same problems as the voting public; they have no idea regarding the policies of Republican candidates; none of them have exhibited qualities which could be labeled “presidential.”
Limbaugh’s latest attack is the wisdom of TEA Party darling Ted Cruz. Cruz claims that Donald Trump is unable to defend his ideas, and is fearful of a one-on-one debate.
“OK, let me just ask, how many of you believe Donald Trump right now is terrified? Now, I have some Trumpists here, they’re on the other side of the glass and they would naturally think this is a nonsensical statement.
“Does anybody look at Trump and see somebody terrified? Do you look at Trump and see somebody who’s scared?” Limbaugh said.
Okay, let’s get real here; neither of the two leading GOP candidates can defend their policies; they have none. There is plenty of rhetoric, but no solutions have been offered with the exception of ISIS and tax reform.
Trump would send 20,000 troops to fight ISIS and lose another ‘war’ in the Middle East. His tax plan would fail, and increase the national deficit.
Cruz would ‘carpet bomb’ ISIS, resulting in the deaths of thousands of innocent women and children; this is opposed by every military expert. His tax plan would be a gift to wealthy Americans, and reduce the middle class by increasing income inequality. His plan too would increase the national deficit.
The last time Cruz accepted a direct question was in Iowa. He was leaving a town hall meeting, when one of the last attendees asked him about healthcare. Cruz has campaigned continuously to repeal the Affordable Care Act. This individual asked him what plan he had to replace it; Cruz had no response.
Limbaugh has exposed the fact that neither candidate has ideas which would move our nation forward. Neither presidential wannabee is qualified to lead our nation.
Neither Trump nor Cruz can win the general election in November. Both candidates have their own base, and neither side’s supporters will vote for the opposition. Trump is supported by radical Republican voters who believe in Trump’s personal racism, bigotry, and misogyny. Cruz has the support of evangelicals, and conservative extremists who would destroy our system of government.
Cruz’ is disliked by every member of the Republican establishment. He believes that at a contested convention, he would be given the nomination. He has forgotten that Marco Rubio has not relinquished his delegates. No one would be surprised if neither Trump nor Cruz was standing on the convention’s main stage on July 21st.
