Some of the American people may not be aware of the fact that there remains a third Republican candidate in 2016. Let me tell you about him.
His name is John Kasich. Kasich is the Governor of Ohio, and has a long history in government. He would not be the choice of most Independents or Democrats, but for Republican voters he is the only offering by the GOP who displays any intelligence and remains the only one who has discussed some of the issues facing America.
Several instances during the debates, Kasich made attempts to move the angry and off-topic discussion towards an actual debate. He stood alone as one-by-one the others joined in Donald Trump’s tactics of attacking each other and ‘name-calling.’
I would like to ask Republican leadership one question: “Why is Kasich being ignored, and why is the RNC spending millions of dollars to support the man they hate; Ted Cruz?”
It is a fact that polls prove Kasich is the only Republican candidate who could challenge Hillary Clinton.
Kasich would have problems with many voters; he is pro-life, and has made efforts in Ohio to defund Planned Parenthood; he favors the death penalty, and increased prosecution for juvenile offenders; Kasich is opposed to federal laws decriminalizing marijuana; he claims that stories related in the Bible are historical fact, and supports an amendment allowing prayer in schools; Kasich supports fracking, and believes that the dangers of climate change are overrated; he supports trade agreements which have allowed the outsourcing of American jobs; and Kasich rejects any additional gun laws; his rating in the NRA was changed from an “F” to an “A” in 2015. There are many other issues which are in opposition to progressives.
The truth is; Kasich has taken a stand on the issues. His campaign is the only one from a Republican in 2016 which is not simply ‘hot air.’
He will not be nominated; really?
