April 26th Primaries: What do they Tell Us?

Clinton and Trump

Tuesday, April 26th, will not see Kasich or Cruz make significant gains on Donald Trump’s lead; in fact, they may lose ground. Bernie Sanders will most certainly acquire far fewer delegates than Hillary Clinton. So what does this mean for their party’s nominations?

Wednesday morning, simple math will prove that Clinton is unbeatable. However, Sanders insists that he will continue on with his campaign all the way to the convention in Philadelphia in July. This may be good for Clinton, and it will certainly be beneficial for the working class. Sanders will keep his ideas in the forefront of American politics.

While the Democratic candidates will be talking issues and the future of America, Republicans will have but a single concern; will the Republican establishment deny Trump the GOP nomination?

Neither John Kasich nor Ted Cruz can accumulate sufficient delegates to defeat Trump. Their only hopes lie in the possibility of a contested convention.

So, nothing will change after Tuesday’s votes are counted. Unless another candidate is selected by the RNC, the battle for the White House will be between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. Hillary Clinton will be inaugurated as our 45th president on January 20, 2017.

I have been a Bernie Sanders supporter. I agree with everything he discusses. But the fact is that he cannot win the nomination. I am beginning to believe that electing our first woman president is vital to the future of our nation at this time in history.

Men, all white, with one exception, have failed to support the majority of our nation’s people for most of the last 240 years. They have led us into unwinnable wars, and discounted the needs of the working class. Although Sanders is more adamant about that fact, there is no doubt that the majority of Americans would fare far better under a Clinton presidency than under the oppressive ideas of Republicans who continue to support special interests, and have a hawkish attitude regarding the security of our nation.

If you are a Sanders or Cruz supporter, don’t be disappointed. Sanders will have a great influence in our nation’s future. He will continue to fight for the majority throughout his lifetime. As far as Cruz is concerned, America is far better off without him. He is dishonest and will no longer be a danger to our nation’s future. He cares only about Cruz, and Cruz is a loser; he has proven it by his actions, not by his words.
