Ryan Wants Sick People to Pay for your Healthcare

Ryan

The Affordable Care Act is not perfect. However, it has provided health insurance for many who could not previously afford it, or found it unavailable, and desperately needed assistance with medical necessity. Instead of acting like great Republicans of the past and working with Democrats to improve the law, this group of un-Americans seek to repeal yours and your neighbor’s healthcare. Although Congress has the best medical benefits available, paid for by you, they don’t believe you should have the same privilege.

54 times the House attempted to repeal “Obamacare,” and 54 times they knew the results before the vote was taken. Insanity by definition.

Paul Ryan says he has a plan to replace the Affordable Care Act. I don’t think that you’ll like it.

He wants those who suffer from chronic or severe medical problems to pay higher premiums than Americans who are healthy. He believes in what Sarah Palin labeled “death panels.” He blames “sick” people for the high cost of medical insurance.

Sections of President Obama’s healthcare plan have been praised by medical professional throughout the nation. Those with pre-existing conditions can now afford and receive insurance. Most Republicans agreed that several sections of the Affordable Care Act would be retained if “Obamacare” was replaced, but not Ryan.

“Let’s fund risk pools at the state level to subsidize their coverage, so that they can get affordable coverage,” he said. “You dramatically lower the price for everybody else. You make health insurance so much more affordable, so much more competitive and open up competition.”

Not only is Ryan’s “plan” unfair, it would further complicate the system, one of the major complaints today.

Although I am fully aware that the Republican Party represents special interests and not the American people, I fail to understand how they can accept healthcare and retirement benefits, paid for by taxpayers, and deny the right of all Americans to receive equal benefits. The GOP has no compassion for the working class.

Ryan is another failed politician. The job of our elected officials is to serve the American people. Sadly, once elected, Republicans forget their campaign promises and serve their masters.
