Ted Cruz is consistent. His speeches are filled with lies and false promises, while invoking the support of evangelicals; Christians who choose not to believe in the teachings of Jesus Christ while supporting anger and hatred. Cruz also uses name-calling to attack the man he cannot catch in the race, Donald Trump. He is also consistent regarding the fact that refuses to answer the tough questions; questions which if answered would upset his supporters.
Cruz has failed to discuss the issues and the content of his rhetoric is purely hyperbole. The most important example regarding Cruz’ failure to answer a question about policy occurred after a town hall meeting in Iowa.
At the end of the event a man walked up to the Senator and asked him a very important question, which a presidential candidate should have been able to answer. He noted that Cruz has promised repeatedly to repeal “Obamacare.” He told a story of his brother-in-law who had not been able to purchase health insurance until the passing of the Affordable Care Act. After a complete examination, doctors determined that it was too late for treatment. He was terminally ill, and could have been saved if he had previously received regular healthcare.
Cruz attempted to speak around the issue, but when the man asked him what plan he had to replace “Obamacare,” he had no answer. Cruz stared at the man for a moment, then turned and left the building.
Cruz appeared on “Meet the Press” Sunday morning. First he exhibited his constant state of denial, when he said: “I believe if the Republican Party nominates Donald Trump, we will lose to Hillary [Clinton],” he said on NBC’s “Meet the Press” when host Chuck Todd first posed a question he did not want to answer. He refuses to admit that the polls reveal that he cannot defeat Ms. Clinton either.
Todd asked him eight additional times if he would support Donald Trump if he received the nomination. He continually dodged the question, in true Cruz fashion, and attacked the media, claiming it was encouraging his to ‘throw in the towel.’
“Why can’t you answer the question of whether you can support Donald Trump or not?” Todd asked Cruz.
“But Chuck, Chuck, Chuck,” Cruz interrupted. “Let me finish this point I’m making.”
Cruz moved on to the more friendly environment of FOX News Sunday. Although Indiana is an evangelical state, Cruz hinted that he may suffer a loss in a state he should have won.
“Regardless of what happens in Indiana, Donald Trump is not getting to 1,237,” Cruz said on “Fox News Sunday.” “No one is getting to 1,237. We are headed to a contested convention. I’m going to have a ton of delegates at that convention. Donald is going to have a ton of delegates at that convention. It’s going to be a battle to see who can earn a majority.”
Cruz took a seat in the Senate in 2013. He immediately began efforts to destroy our government in support of TEA Party founders, the Koch brothers. All of his efforts have been negative attempts to destroy the advances made for the American people in the last 60 years.
Cruz will not receive the nomination as he continues to be known as the most hated man in Washington. The party must support a Republican; not an extremist.
