Hillary Clinton’s Dislike is a Republican Myth

Clinton and Trump

Hillary Clinton was named the “most admired woman in America” 17 out of the last 18 years. President Obama was named the “most admired man in America” for the seventh straight year in a row. If this is true, and it is, why does the media claim that she is as unlikable as Donald Trump?

Clinton and Trump are direct opposites. Trump has expressed his hatred of Hispanic immigrants; Hillary supports a path to citizenship. Trump claims that all Muslims hate America and seek its destruction; Hillary believes in religious freedom for all Americans; Trump promotes violence against those who disagree with him; Hillary seeks understanding and compassion.

Republicans continue to claim that Clinton is not well-liked by voters. Really? They are merely attempting to place the two presumptive candidates on the same level. I have news for them; they are not on the same planet.

Donald Trump cannot be defined as a Republican, or a true American. He is totally unqualified to be the President of the United States. Trump is a billionaire; a member of the one-percent. He has used questionable tactics to accumulate his wealth. He has failed as a businessman multiple times, and has enemies all over the world. He loves to be in the public eye, but offers no substance in his endless and demeaning rhetoric. Trump knows nothing about the government of the United States, and has no plan for moving our nation boldly into the 21st century.

Many true Republicans, and all conservative extremists denounce Trump for not being an actual representative of their party. About this, they may be correct. Twelve years ago Trump was a Democrat, and many of his positions on the issues align with progressives.

His resistance to accept the first amendment rights of all Americans is proof that he does not believe in the principles of our founding fathers. He would not represent all of our nation’s people, and therefore would not be an ‘American President.’

Hillary Clinton is not without her critics or her faults. Any man or woman in politics for a lengthy period of time will make mistakes if they are attempting to serve the American people to the best of their ability. The greatest President in history, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, was not a perfect man, but his efforts for the majority of the American people never faltered.

We must elect Hillary Clinton in November. She will work for the American people and not special interests. She aligns herself with many of Bernie Sanders’ ideas, and they would serve the majority well.

Donald Trump is a billionaire; the rich take care of the own. He has no understanding regarding the struggles of the working class.

You may not like Hillary Clinton’s personality, but you are not electing a president for his or her charm. You are electing someone who will cure the ills of our nation. You are electing someone who is able to work with both our allies and our enemies to make the world a safer place. You are electing a president who will work for equality, freedom, and justice for all.

Yes, I admit it; I have joined the Clinton bandwagon. The truth is that I would have no matter who the GOP offered as their candidate for the presidency. None of them were qualified.
