The Republican Party no longer exists. This group of liars, charlatans, and hypocrites is not the GOP of the past. Until the last 16 years, Republicans were a respected party which worked with Democrats to find solutions for our nation’s needs and problems. They fought for ideas, and did not demean themselves with the use of fear tactics to control voters. They believed in smaller government, and fought for individual rights. This certainly is not the Republican Party today. It is filled with extremists and obstructionists who seek the control of the American people through legislation which benefits the one-percent, and forces the 99 percent to serve the wealthy. It seeks the denial of the rights of women, the LGBT community, and those who practice any faith other than Christianity.
I recently wrote an article guaranteeing that the vast majority of those who call themselves ‘Republicans’ would renege on their promises to ‘stop Trump’ and support him in the general election. Today’s meeting with Paul Ryan was proof that I was correct.
Republicans have no concern for the qualifications, morality, or intellect of their presidential candidates; they care about the party. For them a win is all that matters, even if the victor is a danger to our American way of life.
As I predicted, Ryan will eventually support Trump and bow to the demands or RNC Chairman, Reince Priebus. This, all intelligent Americans know; Republicans never mean what they say. The party is composed of liars who are hypocritical and will say anything to keep their party in power and satisfy their owners. Their ambitions take precedent over the needs of the American people.
When Ryan said that he wasn’t quite ready to support Trump, I knew it was a blatant lie. It was a calculated move to ensure his position of power within the party.
Therefore, if you vote for Trump, you too an immoral person, who shuns his country believing that the Republican Party is more important than the lives of your fellow Americans. Voting for anyone with an “R” next to their name, without vetting his or her ability to perform the position they are seeking, displays a level of ignorance which should deny his or her right to vote.
The greatest lie perpetrated by Republican candidates is that all liberals are evil. Liberals, or progressives, support the Constitution and the rights of every citizen in the United States. They deny no one equal protection under the law. In contradiction to false claims by Republicans, they do not lie to obtain their goals. The openly discuss and deliberate issues, and would do the same with their right wing brothers and sisters if they were willing.
In addition, liberals do not hide behind a suspicious ‘belief’ in a religion founded in fantasy. Religion must not control our lives. Religion is a free choice to be practiced privately, and must not be allowed to influence our government. Freedom means freedom from dictators and cult leaders; I choose to be free.
