In an effort to make Republican voters believe that he remains in control of the Republican Party, Reince Priebus stated that the convention belongs to the party, and not Donald Trump.
Oh how Priebus loves his fantasyland. Trump has been in control of the right wing for the last nine months, although Priebus and his cronies made every attempt available to derail his opportunity for the party’s nomination.
Yesterday’s meeting between Trump, Priebus, and Speaker Paul Ryan was merely another façade by the Republican Party. Because the party is more important than the United States of America, all the party’s hypocrites will support Trump. (Read my article from May 7th, titled “Before the Convention Republicans Will Become United”).
Paul Ryan already supports Trump; he has received his orders from the party elite. Thursday’s charade was intended to influence millions of Republican voters who do not support Donald Trump; yet. However, when these ignorant men and women go to the polls, they will continue their destructive process of voting for anyone with an “R” next to their name.
Do not believe the illusion presented by Priebus. Donald Trump’s supporters will continue their control of the party. The Republican establishment has already capitulated to Trump. Between July 18th and the 21st, the Convention in Cleveland will belong to Trump; it’s his biggest show, and his ego will finally be completely satisfied.
The protestors outside Quicken Loans Arena will also belong to Donald Trump. Angry residents of Flint, Michigan, and Cleveland will be joined by Hispanics and groups such as “Black Lives Matter,” and “The 99 Percent.”
Priebus is desperate to make Republican voters believe that he is the man in charge.
“But again, I want to remind you this is the party’s convention,” said Priebus. “This is not the candidate’s convention. I mean, it’s the same thing that Debbie Wasserman Schultz is dealing with, with Bernie Sanders. Bernie Sanders thinks he gets to run the party’s convention. The party is involved in the process.”
Some in the party continue to discuss a third party candidate; don’t be fooled; this will never happen. The Republican electorate is obligated to support the worst candidate ever offered from either party.
“It will destroy not just the majority in the Senate, but also the House,” said Priebus. “It will freeze money and it will put generations of liberal justices on the Supreme Court. I think it’s really ridiculous to even talk about a third-party.”
He remains in denial; the Republican Party has not existed as a principled party which represented the majority of the American people since 1992, and is now on the brink of extinction.
Once again, I must remind all of you; “Trumpenstein” is the creation of failed leadership. His supporters are anti-Republican establishment, and discovered a candidate who openly revealed Republican racism and bigotry. He is their leader and will exit the convention as the party’s standard bearer.
You created him, Mr. Priebus, and now you’re stuck with him.
