Is the end of the United States of America closer than many of us believed? If Donald Trump becomes our nation’s president, it would become a failed experiment. What could we call it? I know the Constitution would be destroyed; the first words would mean nothing: “We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union;” and so forth. Our nation would not be close to perfect, and only a small group of Americans would be represented by those in Washington.

Only a part of the Bill of Rights would be repeated in Trump’s world; the second amendment. Quickly removed would be the first amendment, considered the most important by our forefathers. Only Christians would be allowed to practice their faith; the right to protest grievances would be abolished; Trump would have the final say in all matters.

So, what would we call the new nation? It would be based on racism and bigotry; women would remain second-class citizens; the LGBT community would be ‘tolerated.’ Once revered by most of the world’s nations and people, the former United States would be despised and feared around the planet.

The new and devolved nation must be called “The Kingdom of Trump.” He places his name on everything, and only the nation would be left.

It is highly likely that our country could split into two nations. Many of our people, this writer included, would refuse to serve Trump and the ignorant voters who elected him. His supporters will have committed the ultimate crime; electing a party, and not the best person.

We would help Trump build his walls on both borders; north and south. The difference is that we would build them from the other side. No one would want to remain in the “Kingdom of Trump,” with the exception of his un-American supporters.

Gone forever would be the once greatest nation in the world; founded on equality and freedom for all. The principles of our founding fathers would be but a fading memory.

Hitler was Germany’s folly; Trump could be ours.
