Donald Trump: The Man Behind the Façade

With both parties now expecting Clinton and Trump as their presumptive nominees, the 2016 campaign season has actually begun. This is especially harmful to Donald Trump. Although the media would like to make the voting public believe that Hillary Clinton is unpopular, and unlikable, this is far from the truth, and a longer campaign season will reveal Clinton as a tough but thoughtful candidate.

Trump will continue his tactics of inciting fear and anger, and as he begins the only possible manner in which he can campaign against Ms. Clinton through personal attacks, his complete lack of qualifications to lead our nation will be more evident. He cannot discuss the issues; he has no solutions for our nation’s serious problems.

Ms. Clinton spoke about Trump’s attitude after an announcement that the NRA had endorsed the braggadocio and arrogant real estate mogul.

“If you want to imagine what Trump’s America would look like, picture more kids at risk of violence and bigotry,” Clinton said.

“Picture more anger and fear,” she added. “Ask any of the mothers here tonight if they want to live in that kind of America … Enough is enough.”

Trump’s rallies consisted of several components, none of which were focused on America’s people or the future of our nation. They were filled with rhetoric intended to produce an emotional response. Fear and anger permeated his rallies, as he encouraged violence and the denial of free speech.

America has become a nation filled with fear, anger, hatred, and is the most violent nation in the developed world. A Trump presidency would move our country to an even lower level, insuring that America will never be great again.

After the conventions are over, and more Americans pay closer attention to the race for the White House, they will learn what many of us have known for more than nine months; Trump refuses to accept criticism. When his persona is revealed, his response is childish as he lashes out at his detractor with lies and verbal abuse. Americans will quickly learn what many of us have long known; Trump must not be allowed to live in the White House.

These are serious times. Our next president must be a greatly qualified and intelligent man or woman who will lead and not use rash judgement as a solution for critical issues. Our nation is under attack from outside our shores and internally from special interest groups who seek the complete destruction of democracy and replace it with a plutocracy.

Our people deserve someone who will represent the majority. Our nation’s leaders must serve our people with competent decisions based on facts, not by a man whose emotions are uncontrollable.

Trump is a member of the ‘one-percent;’ claiming his net worth is $10 billion. He will support his own ‘club;’ unable to understand the difficulty of the working man. Without having experience in government at any level, Trump is out of touch with the vast majority of our nation’s people.

Voters will have plenty of time to learn about the real Donald Trump. He is not only a racist, bigot, and a misogynist, he is no more than a spoiled child who demands that only his personal goals be accomplished.

Following the tragedies of 9/11, our nation was ruled by fear tactics throughout the Bush Administration. With the approval of Bush and Cheney, our nation denied its principles and began to torture its enemies. Our adversaries received labels which incited additional violence against our nation’s citizens abroad. Our nation became more divided than at any other time in history since the “Civil War.”

This cannot happen again; and I do not believe that the American people will accept Trump as the representative of 320 million people.
