I previously forewarned readers to ignore the polls before the July conventions. Most of them are slanted towards a favored candidate. The parties remain divided, and will be so until the ‘presumptive’ candidates are actually formally nominated.
The media is intentionally creating a false impression that the Democratic Party will remain divided, when the truth is that although politicians are bowing to the RNC and supporting Trump, millions of voters will refuse to vote for a vile man who represents the worst of America.
Proof of the latter can be offered by the Republican voters of Washington State.
Republicans held their state convention this weekend in Pasco, Washington. The rodeo arena was filled with Cruz T-shirts, and Trump red hats; the T-shirts outnumbered the hats, and the results supported the physical representation. Cruz may have suspended his campaign, but he received 40 of the 41 delegates who will attend the Republican Convention in Cleveland in less than two months.
Let’s make this situation entirely clear. This convention was attended by loyal Republicans who blindly vote for anyone with an “R” next to their name during every election, but this situation is different. Attendees offered proof that they have a conscience, and will not support a man who denies the principles of a once great GOP, and the Constitutional rights of all Americans.
Chris Vance is a former GOP Chairman, and a current candidate for the United States Senate, but he revealed his lack of support for Trump. “Do you think I enjoy this? Not supporting the nominee? It’s unpleasant.”
This not only demonstrates the reality of how misleading the polls can be, but it also gives additional credence for being an Independent rather than a member of a political party. I do not know Mr. Vance, but if I were a resident of Washington State, I would take a close look at his platform and beliefs; he appears to be a man of honor and conviction.
The 2016 election is critical. Voters must vote for an experienced and qualified individual who has solutions for our nation’s problems, not one who offers words without substance. I hear voter’s claiming that Trump ‘tells it like it is;’ this could not be further from the truth. He won’t build a wall; he will not deport nearly twelve million undocumented workers; he cannot prevent Muslims from entering our nation; he has no understanding about how to reduce income inequality; if he succeeds in removing healthcare from 20 million Americans there are no plans to replace it; and his lies about Hillary Clinton repealing the second amendment are a smoke screen.
I continually hear that Hillary is ‘unlikeable.’ I have no comprehension how ‘likability’ qualifies someone to lead the free world. She is the most qualified candidate seeking the presidency in our nation’s history. Is she perfect? No, and no one should expect that to be the case.
On the other side, Trump is far from perfect. He has no knowledge of government, and would be a disaster as the leader of the free world.
The President of the United States must accept great responsibility. Trump has repeatedly proven that he lacks the temperament and possesses a proclivity towards violence; both of which disqualify him to reside in the White House.
