Donald Trump’s Campaign is Broke

Riches of Trump

The braggadocio and arrogant leader of the Republican Party lied to the leaders of the GOP and his supporters. He claimed that his campaign was self-funded and was not in need of donations. Now he has been forced to admit that he will not be able to afford television ads after the convention in July, and possibly prior to the convention.

The Washington Examiner reported: “Donald Trump’s campaign has alerted Senate Republicans that he won’t have much money to spend fending off attacks from Hillary Clinton over the next couple months.”

Trump’s enemies are many. Who will donate sufficient funds for the general election campaign? Thanks to Citizens United, it only takes a few. Meanwhile Lying Donald strikes again. No one should believe anything the failed businessman says.

We are witnessing the existence of two Donald Trumps; one who rallies his supporters, and the one behind closed doors who is forced to tell the truth. He bragged to his fans that he is funding his own campaign, while the truth was told to the RNC; he will no longer pay for his own campaign.

Several recent situations have cast doubts upon Trump’s actual wealth, including his refusal to reveal his tax returns. This is apparently another bankruptcy experience for Trump; this time it’s his own campaign.

If there is a single idiom that bears the most truth, it is the one which claims that “talk is cheap.” The best way to describe Trump is a man with no substance who will say anything to receive attention.

He is not worthy of receiving the nomination of a once Grand Old Party. He represents the worst of our nation’s people who believe in racism and bigotry. His followers are angry at the Republican Party’s leadership, but supporting Trump is the wrong way to demonstrate their displeasure.

The Republican Party has chosen the worst possible candidate to represent them. The sad truth is that their choices were limited. Although the race for the nomination began with 17 hopefuls, only two were actually qualified to seek the presidency; Lindsey Graham, and John Kasich. The party leadership didn’t want them. Their choices were Jeb Bush, or Marco Rubio, who both proved a lack of sufficient intellect and were poor campaigners.

Trump has received millions of dollars in free advertising. The mainstream media loves Trump and has given him five-times the coverage of any other candidate. But the novelty has disappeared.

Now the times are serious and the stakes are higher than at any other time in our nation’s history. Sadly, money buys elections. If Trump is unable to match his opponent’s contributions; he cannot win in November. For most of us that would be a blessing.

What else has Trump lied about? That’s a very easy question to answer. He cannot and will not build his infamous wall, and Mexico would not pay for it if he could. He will not deport nearly 12 million undocumented workers. He will not be allowed to discriminate against Muslims entering the United States.

If that’s not enough, he lies about his treatment of women. Reports of his support for some in their business ventures is accurate, but it is a façade. In his personal life he has but a single use for the fairer sex.

The Republican establishment was unable to derail Trump; now he may have accomplished that goal himself.
