Progressives and Independents Must Unite Behind Hillary and Avoid America’s Demise

Hillary 2016

Throughout this overly long campaign season, I have voiced my choice for the presidency in 2016. Bernie Sanders is the only politician in my lifetime who has voiced all of my beliefs. However, he cannot win the nomination.

Many in Bernie’s camp claim that they will not support Hillary Clinton when she receives the party’s confirmation as its leader. This is a serious mistake on multiple levels.

Ms. Clinton’s views are mostly aligned with those of Senator Sanders. To deny Democratic voters their choice is dangerous. She has received the majority of the delegates, and the party must unite in support of a qualified and dedicated candidate to defeat the most immoral and clownish mistake ever offered by the Republican Party.

The goal of Independents and Democrats must be a historical defeat of Donald Trump. Voters must make a statement that we do not believe in the racist views of the Republican standard bearer. A Trump presidency would remove all dignity, respect, and credibility from our nation.

The media is misleading the American people. They claim that a prolonged battle between Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders is dividing the Democratic Party. They need your viewership, but are not telling the truth.

In 2008 John McCain became the Republican Party’s nominee long before the contest between Barrack Obama and Hillary Clinton was decided. Hillary received multiple pleas to end her campaign; (sound familiar)? Eventually Mr. Obama received the nomination, and Democrats united behind him, securing a victory for our first black president. Claims that the long campaign would harm the Democratic candidate were completely erroneous.

Of course McCain’s selection of an ignorant running mate may have assisted the Democratic cause.

So, I beg of you, all of you who are aware that the White House must not be allowed to be renamed the ‘Trump House,’ do not panic. When the convention is completed in July, all intelligent and informed voters will stand for the Democratic candidate; there is no other option. Of course Trump could give an assist to progressives by selecting Palin as his own running mate.

Just say no to Trump.
