Little Marco Endorses Donald Trump

MR

If Republicans are not embarrassed by the 2016 campaign season, they are living in a country called “Denial.” Nearly every prominent Republican denounced Donald Trump for nine months. Efforts to end his campaign failed because Republicans leadership has failed.

When Trump became the party’s presumptive nominee, Republicans acted in typical hypocritical fashion; they now support him, knowing that he is a danger to their party and our nation.

The latest to endorse Trump is failed presidential hopeful Marco Rubio. Trump referred to him as “little Marco.” Rubio insulted Trump pointing to his spray tan and his “small hands.” They engaged in a battle of wits, but both of their weapons were unloaded. This was the primary reason why Rubio lost his home state of Florida by 20 points in that state’s primary.

None of that matters; Trump is now Rubio’s leader.

The history of this campaign season has been both interesting and a travesty for our nation.

The battle between Democratic candidates Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders has offered the American people ideas and a hope that the majority will take back their nation from the one-percent. They have inspired voters with ideas and solutions for our nation’s ills.

On the Republican side, there is nothing positive to report. Beginning with the first “debate” in August of 2015, Republican leaders began a campaign to derail Donald Trump’s campaign. There was no discussion regarding the issues. The establishment’s great hope was Jeb Bush. Bush revealed less of an intellect than his older brother, and an inability to excite voters. When he eventually suspended his campaign, they switched their support to Marco Rubio; and we know what happened to him. Finally, they put all their efforts on the back of Ted Cruz, the most hated man in Washington. When he too was forced to withdraw, the party was left with its greatest fear, Donald Trump.

The one thing which can be said about the Republican Party is that they stick together. The party is their priority, not the United States of America and its 320 million people. Reince Priebus, the Chairman of the DNC, is working feverishly to unite a party which has divided into at least three separate factions.

It is nearly a guarantee that Hillary Clinton will win the Democratic nomination. If she wins in California a week from today, she will secure her goal.

The media calls the contest between Trump and Clinton a battle between the ‘two most disliked candidates in history.’ I don’t see it that way.

Trump is hated; Hillary is misunderstood, but is the most qualified candidate, and would represent all of our nation’s people, not just a few.

Although Marco Rubio’s endorsement of Trump has little meaning now, it could bode badly for the ambitious young man in the future. If Trump loses in November, Rubio will receive a black mark not only from the American people, but also his own party.

Aligning oneself with Trump is a serious mistake, regardless of who wins the November election. At least half of our nation’s people, myself included, will fail to support a Trump presidency, and immediately hope for impeachment at some point in his first term.

The people of our nation cannot accept a president who does not believe in the principles of America. He cannot ‘make America great again,’ when he is one of the prime examples of why our country has never been great.

Prejudice is not a viable choice for a man who wants to lead the free world.
