As I predicted, another Republican hypocrite has endorsed Donald Trump, the worst candidate in the history of the United States. Speaker of the House, Paul Ryan, who previously denounced Trump is now supporting him, even though he previously pronounced the businessman a danger to our nation and his party.
As an Independent, I previously respected several members of the Republican Party, none of whom are the present leaders of the GOP.
George H.W. Bush never received the respect he deserved for his service to our nation. He was forced to manage the difficulties left by Reagan’s second term. When he was forced to raise taxes, Mr. Bush received the blame for Reagan’s fiscal failures.
In 2000 I supported John McCain. The architect of George W. Bush’s campaign, Karl Rove, used lies and attacks to derail McCain’s campaign and receive the nomination. Our nation was permanently damaged over the next eight years.
In 2008 I once again considered McCain. I was undecided between him and Barrack Obama until he made a fatal mistake. Sarah Palin was a bad joke on America and the Republican Party. Today, he has discarded his campaign slogan, “Country First,” and supports Trump although he was one of his biggest critics.
Although I disagree with many of the policies of Paul Ryan, I previously believed that he was an honorable man whose intent was to serve the American people. Sadly, for me, he has proven himself just another hypocrite who places his party ahead of his nation.
“Through these conversations, I feel confident he would help us turn the ideas in this agenda into laws to help improve people’s lives,” said Mr. Ryan, who is also chairman of the Republican National Convention that will nominate Mr. Trump. “That’s why I’ll be voting for him this fall.” Really?
The truth is, Ryan is “bullshitting” the American people. He is an ambitious man who places his party before his country. Republicans are desperate; they continue to fail the people while seeking a victory. They are aware that they are nearing a third consecutive loss of the presidency.
I have said this several times, because it’s the truth. “Trumpenstein” was created by the Republican establishment. It has failed loyal Republican voters for 16 years, and supporting Trump is nothing more than a display of their anger.
Let’s be completely honest; no one who allows themselves to think rather than be swayed by their emotions could support Trump. He is not only unqualified, he fails to believe in the America founded by Washington, Jefferson, Franklin, and Madison. He is a fascist and a despicable human being. A Trump presidency would be the end of the United States of America.
Paul Ryan, I am very disappointed. Your capitulation to your party is another black mark on our nation. You join the majority of Republicans who have proven that they lack morals and the courage to stand for their principles. You are not a leader; you are another follower.
You were intended to replace a very weak Speaker in John Boehner; sadly, you appear to be his clone.
