Some of you may believe that Sarah Palin has the title of “least intelligent woman in America;” but that is far from the truth. Harry Reid was running in Nevada for reelection to the United States Senate in 2010. His opponent was TEA party darling, Sharron Angle. Angle defeated two qualified Republicans in the primary thanks to an influx of cash, and some damaging attack ads directed at her opponents. The truth is, that either of her challengers would have defeated Reid.
Sharron Angle had a serious and incurable problem; she lacked the intelligence to run for office. When asked by a Las Vegas reporter about her campaign’s platform, she had no answer, and was rushed away by a member of her team. She lost; no surprise.
Here we are in 2016. Harry Reid is retiring, and his seat will be occupied in 2017 by either Catherine Cortez Masto, Joe Heck, or Sharron Angle.
Masto is the Democrat and the former Attorney General of Nevada. Her credentials are many, and have been praised by our Republican Governor, Brian Sandoval. She is supported by every law enforcement agency in the state.
Joe Heck is the Republican, and is now a Representative in the House. Heck is a member of the “Freedom Caucus.” He is one of the primary reasons Congress is dysfunctional, and has not a single achievement to his credit. He is against an increase in the federal minimum wage, favored by 59 percent of Nevadans, and his only support group is the right wing Chamber of Commerce.
Angle recently revealed his website to Republican voters. There is only one problem; in true Angle fashion, she made a slight mistake. The website she announced, and mailed to prospective voters was “joeheck.com.” This is a legitimate website, but it redirects the viewer to an “anime pornographic site.” She and her campaign staff redacted the information; giving supporters Heck’s correct website, but it was too late for those which were mailed out.
Brian Baluta is Heck’s campaign manager. “The Angle campaign has been spreading misinformation to voters and unfortunately this is only the latest, ridiculous, dirty trick,” Baluta told the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
Next Tuesday, June 14th, Nevada will hold its primary. When it was announced that Angle would be running again, even Nevada Republicans cringed. She would make a perfect running mate for Donald Trump; they have like minds and like intelligence. We do not need her ilk here in the “Silver State.”
Our state is in excellent shape, thanks to Reid and our Governor Brian Sandoval. Angle would only make things worse for the people of our great state.
