Trump Losing more Support than Making Gains

Donald the Fascist

The media has focused on one story about Trump’s racism and fear of litigation; Judge Curiel. But that one egregious attack is merely one of several serious problems he faces in November.

Trump is a huge and easy target for Democrats, but the numbers of those in his own party who are moving away from this unqualified man who lacks the knowledge and temperament to lead our nation and the world is growing.

The Governor of Ohio, and former presidential candidate, John Kasich, will not endorse Donald Trump. “Why would I feel compelled to support someone whose positions I kind of fundamentally disagree with?” he told Fox News.

Kasich told FOX that his complaints range from name-calling to encouraging violence, racist and bigoted remarks, and Trump’s failure to offer solutions instead of rhetoric.

Christine Todd Whitman was the head of the Environmental Protection Agency during the first George W. Bush Administration. Trump called ‘climate change’ a hoax created by the Chinese, and promised to dismantle what he called the ‘Department of Environmental.’ He said he would replace it with policies which “will focus on real environmental challenges, not the phony ones we’ve been looking at.” In typical Trump fashion, he never said how. Whitman referred to Trump’s rants as “dangerous and nonsensical.”

Failed Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell ‘flip-flopped’ regarding his support for Trump. During the primary season, McConnell said that Republicans must not allow Trump to be the party’s leader; when the businessman became the presumptive nominee, he endorsed Trump. Now, he’s not so sure, fearing losses in Senate races which would allow Democrats to regain control of the senior body.

After criticizing Trump’s attacks on Judge Curiel, McConnell was asked what would force him to rescind his endorsement of Trump.

“I’m not going to speculate about what he might say or what I might do,” said the senator from Kentucky. “But I think it’s pretty clear. I’ve been very clear publicly about how I think he ought to change directions, and I hope that’s what we’re going to see.”

Speaker Paul Ryan has been widely criticized for his endorsement of Trump; and he deserves the ire of anti-Trump forces. However, in keeping with his unfair attacks on individuals, Trump may have given Ryan a ‘way out’ when he criticized Judge Curiel. He called Trump’s attacks; “the textbook definition of a racist comment.”

In USA Today, hundreds of former Trump employees are claiming that he failed to pay them for their efforts. This occurred just as Trump began seeking campaign contributions; he is no longer funding his own campaign.

This is what we have come to expect from Trump; lots of talk, but no action. Trump not only ‘speaks from the hip,’ never sure of what he’ll say next, this is how he would lead our nation; he doesn’t know what he’s doing.

Trump’s desire to live in the White House will face great difficulty. He refuses to listen to anyone but himself, and therefore will be one man standing against an army of Democrats and Independents who will expose him to a national audience.

What began as a relatively small group of Republicans who continue to fight against a Trump candidacy, is now growing. Trump is his own worst enemy.
