He Dares to Call Himself a “Christian”

Jesus

One of the big problems in America is the millions who claim to be Christian. If you make that statement, you must follow all of the teachings of Jesus Christ, not just those you agree with.

What happened in Orlando early Sunday morning is unforgivable, and a tragedy for all Americans. Those killed were members of the LGBT community, a mother, a young engaged couple, and others, all simply living their lives to the best of their ability. But one man, one despicable person, who calls himself a Christian minister believes that the loss of at least 49 lives was a good thing, and there should have been more.

Pastor Roger Jimenez from Verity Baptist Church in Sacramento told his congregation that Christians “shouldn’t be mourning the death of 50 sodomites.”

“People say, like: Well, aren’t you sad that 50 sodomites died?” Jimenez said, referencing the initial death toll in Orlando, which authorities later clarified included 49 victims plus the gunman. “Here’s the problem with that. It’s like the equivalent of asking me — what if you asked me: Hey, are you sad that 50 pedophiles were killed today?’

“Um, no, I think that’s great. I think that helps society. You know, I think Orlando, Fla., is a little safer tonight.”

He added: “The tragedy is that more of them didn’t die. The tragedy is — I’m kind of upset that he didn’t finish the job!”

There are so many things wrong with his views and his hatred, I cannot name all of them. Jesus Christ told his followers to practice His teachings which would allow them to attain the Kingdom of Heaven. Among them are “Love one another as I have loved you,” and “Judge not lest ye be judged.”

Jimenez cannot claim to be a Christian, and is most certainly not a minister of God. He defiles his church as he promotes hatred and denies the teachings of Jesus Christ.

The truth is that there is no basis for homophobia. They harm no one and have no demands beyond those of heterosexuals. They simply seek equal protection under the law. Contrary to Jimenez, pedophiles do not dominate the LGBT world. It is highly likely that his congregation has at least one child pornographer in its membership.

Jimenez must be closely scrutinized. History has proven that those who protest the loudest are often hiding something from the world. The “party of family values” has experienced more deviant sexual instances than those on the left side of the aisle. There must be a reason why Jimenez hates homosexuals, and it’s not written in the Bible.

Religion, especially fake religions, must not be allowed to interfere in our government. The Constitution must be the law of the land, not the Bible, the Quran, or the Tora. The Constitution guarantees every American the right of freedom in their personal life, and equal protection under the law.

Jimenez is not a Christian, and not an American. He is the leader of a cult; an evil organization which brainwashes its followers and inspires hatred while eliminating understanding and compassion.
