It was no surprise that Ann Coulter and Sarah Palin endorsed Trump early in his campaign. These two anti-American extremists are perfect mates for ‘the Donald.’ I was a little surprised to learn that Chris Christie supported him, until I learned more about his lack of support for our nation’s principles.
Two more failed and former Republicans are now strongly behind the worst candidate in American history; Newt Gingrich and Rudy Giuliani.
Let’s be clear about some of the issues surrounding this year’s presidential election.
First of all, it is obvious that the Republican Party has only one goal; to defeat Hillary Clinton. It has no concern about our nation or its people, as demonstrated by its support for the worst offering in American history; Donald Trump. Party first, not ‘country first’ as John McCain boasted in 2008; he, too, has moved to the right with his constituents.
Giuliani on Trump: “He is the best choice for New York. He is the best choice for the country,” Giuliani said. “He is the one who can beat Hillary Clinton.”
Gingrich, the former and failed Speaker of the House, is obviously seeking the vice-presidency. “Let me go a step further, because remember, San Bernardino, Fort Hood, and Orlando involve American citizens. We’re going to ultimately declare a war on Islamic supremacists and we’re going to say, if you pledge allegiance to ISIS, you are a traitor and you have lost your citizenship. And we’re going take much tougher positions.” He went on to loosely tie efforts by America’s greatest President, Franklin D. Roosevelt to root out Nazis in the United States. Although he falsely claims that the ‘House Un-American Activities Committee’ was created in 1938, and 1939, it was not enacted until 1945. More misdirection by Republicans.
As with Coulter and Palin, I am not surprised that two more failures in the GOP have aligned themselves with Trump. They are the worst of America, and must not be allowed to influence the future of our nation.
As Charles P. Pierce so aptly stated in Esquire: “Gingrich, Giuliani, and He, Trump all deserve each other. The rest of us don’t deserve them. I hope.”
