Ted Cruz to Unify Republicans Behind Trump???

Ted

I never heard of Jeff Roe, but the article tells me that he was Ted Cruz’ failed campaign manager. After reading his comments, I know why Cruz was crushed in the primaries by Donald Trump. If you know anything about Ted Cruz, and his relationship with his fellow Republican Congressmen, you will laugh when I tell you what Roe is claiming.

“If you want to rally conservatives, put a stamp on our party, and take this into a general election, with everybody fully motivated, I think Ted Cruz should have a big role in the convention.”

Has this man been living in a cave for the last three years? Before Trump came to the party, Cruz was the most hated politician in Washington. His only accomplishment was shutting down the government in 2013. Senator Lindsey Graham put it best when he said: “If you killed Ted Cruz on the floor of the Senate, and the trial was in the Senate, nobody would convict you.”

Here’s another ignorant Republican. The party cannot, and will not be united at the convention. It may come together behind a candidate, likely Donald Trump, but it will remain divided because of Trump. Reading about thousands of members of the RNC who plan to disallow Trump the nomination, I doubt that Trump will win on the first ballot.

The most laughable comments by Republicans concern Hillary Clinton. They cannot attack her for her accomplishments, qualifications, or position on the issues. Therefore, they continue to say the same things, make the same attacks, as they have for the last seven years. The call her “corrupt,” but support Trump whose business practices, including Trump University, are constantly under scrutiny. Trump has the nerve to call her “crooked Hillary.” He cannot challenge her on the issues; he knows nothing about the problems facing our 45th president. Continually appearing as a fool every time he speaks, he has proven himself unqualified to lead our nation and the world.

Jeff Roe is simply another desperate Republican. There has not been a single positive out of the Trump campaign for over two weeks. He has problems with his own party; problems with his overt racism; problems with favorability; and now problems with money.

The Republican Party cares nothing about the American people. They are in politics for their own, personal ambitions. They will support Trump, although many despise him, but for a single purpose; to win the election.

Here’s what I expect to see from the Republican Party. When it loses its third presidential campaign in a row, the fun will begin. Mudslinging will be the focus of every day. Republicans will blame each other for their party’s failure. Most will blame Trump and not accept their role in the destruction of the GOP. The TEA Party, which is at the center of the party’s implosion, and the reason our government is broken, will blame moderates for not moving to the extreme right, the very reason we now have gridlock.

The ‘fat lady has sung,’ and the party’s over.
