When Donald Trump offered a vague and questionable tax plan to the media, economic experts reported that the wealthy would benefit greatly, the working class would experience little or no change, and the nation’s deficit would be increased by trillions of dollars. Today, Speaker of the House, Paul Ryan offered his plan, which is eerily similar to the man he once opposed and now endorses.
MSNBC reported that the contents of Ryan’s plan “includes trillions of dollars in tax breaks for the wealthy, including the total elimination of the estate tax, but it doesn’t include any meaningful accounting. House Republicans spent months putting together a ‘substantive’ tax-reform plan that’s little more than a wish list of all the taxes the GOP would like to cut, without so much as a hint of thought about how to pay for the package.”
In other words, it’s the same old Republican bullshit; protect the one-percent, increase income inequality, destroy the middle class, increase the number of billionaires, and allow more families to slip into poverty.
By his actions and lies, Paul Ryan has become a new target for this writer. He is the new John Boehner without the former Speaker’s concern for the American people.
I frequently reported the truth, that John Boehner was the most ineffective Speaker of the House in modern times, but I never doubted his sincerity. He simply had no qualifications for the position he held in our government.
Paul Ryan is a hypocrite, a tool of big business, and a man who has no interest in serving the people of the United States. He is void of the moral character needed to be in his position.
Here are two examples of Ryan’s ambitions and hypocrisy.
He railed about Donald Trump’s lack of qualifications to seek the presidency, and attacked his denial of Constitutional rights for all Americans. He chastised the billionaire for his lack of a moral compass. But when ordered to support the failed businessman by the RNC, he capitulated and now endorses the worst candidate in American History.
Two nights ago, when House Democrats performed a ‘sit-in’ on the floor of the Capitol, Ryan called it a ‘publicity stunt.’ Ryan made headlines when he was filmed washing pots and pans at a soup kitchen. The operator of that charity reported that all the utensils he was supposedly cleaning had been previously washed and sanitized. Is that a publicity stunt, or am I just plain stupid?
Ryan is a dishonest man. He relishes his support from the NRA gun lobby and will not allow a vote on changes to our nation’s gun laws. He displayed a childish persona when he ordered the C-SPAN cameras to be turned off during the Democratic sit-in.
Ryan is considered the primary leader of the Republican Party. If this is representative of those who are in fact Republicans in name only, where is the future of the GOP?
I vow to expose every un-American action by the Speaker. He is Donald Trump with political experience, and a danger to my country.
