Trump is Defeating Himself: No Surprise for Me

Ignorance breed ignorance

Donald Trump was in Scotland, attempting to resurrect another failed business venture, when the people of Great Britain voted themselves out of the European Union. Based on the only reason for his current success, a separation from the establishment, he could have used the incident for political advantage. But he’s not intelligent enough to take such action. Instead, he once again made a fool of himself.

If you want to be proud of your own intellect, you can read the entire rambling of a buffoon on the attached link. I will only highlight, or “lowlight” a few of his best, or worst, comments.

The sad reality of this article is that it once again confirms Trump’s lack of knowledge about world affairs, and government in general. His platitudes are baseless and inane.

He was asked if Scotland, who voted to stay in the EU, should now follow England, he answered in a disjointed and unintelligible manner, common for the failed businessman.

“People want to take their country back. They want to have independence, in a sense, and you see it with Europe, all over Europe. You’re going to have more than just — in my opinion, more than what happened last night, you’re going to have, I think many other cases where they want to take their borders back. They want to take their monetary back.”

If Hillary Clinton ceased campaigning today, she would still win in November. Trump cannot appeal to any American with even average intelligence. Every day it becomes more obvious that a Trump presidency would be a disaster for not only our nation, but for the world.

“But I really do see a parallel between what’s happening in the United States and what’s happening here. People want to see borders. They don’t necessarily want people pouring into their country that they don’t know who they are and where they come from. They have no idea.”

Isolationism would be the death of America; as the people of Great Britain will soon learn. They have proven that the right to vote must be taken seriously. Voting based on the weakness of emotion is destructive. If intelligence is removed from the equation, disaster will follow.

Trump praises the people for their action; their vote. He has no understanding regarding the eventual result of their mistake. This is a perfect example of why we must vet the candidates who seek our votes. Voting for a party is ignorant. The most qualified candidates who support our needs must serve in Washington, not the morons who now warm the seats in the House and Senate.

Allowing Trump to live in the White House would be the biggest mistake in our nation’s history. He would destroy not only the United States, but our relationship with the world.

As for England, it is likely to stand alone in Europe. It is likely that Ireland and Scotland will remain in the EU. Historical enemies, France and Germany, could make the situation even more difficult as trade agreements are re-negotiated. The pound will be worth nothing, and Great Britain’s economy will bottom out in the next few months.

Once again emotions have defeated intelligence and logic, and the people have caused their own pain and suffering.
