If it’s not Trump and Gingrich I’ll be Disappointed

Another Failed Speaker

Newt Gingrich has done everything but shine Donald Trump’s shoes to become Trump’s running mate. They would be a perfect fit, and I’ll be terribly disappointed if Trump fails to select him. Trump supported Gingrich in 2012 when he failed in his bid to receive the Republican nomination; it’s time to respond in like manner.

They would be like “brothers from another mother” if they were on the GOP ticket together; they share so many things. Sadly, none of them are positive qualities.

Let’s begin with the fact that they have each been married three times. That’s not necessarily a bad thing; so have I. The interest in the subject is about how they treated those wives, which reveals their attitude towards women.

Gingrich divorced his first wife because “she wasn’t pretty enough.” When he told his second wife that he wanted an “open marriage,” and she refused, he flaunted his affair with the woman who would be his third. His second wife was served divorce papers in the hospital where she was recovering from uterine cancer; she died in 2000.

A court deposition by first wife, Ivana, swore that Trump physically abused and raped her in a rage. After a visit to a plastic surgeon, recommended by Ivana, Trump was dissatisfied with the results related to his ‘mane’ of lustrous hair. He allegedly pulled her hair and subsequently entered her without her permission. They had not had intercourse for months. Ivana later recanted the story after the divorce settlement was complete.

While Gingrich was Speaker of the House during the Clinton Administration, he was charged with multiple ethics violations, some of which could have resulted in criminal charges. All but one was absolved. He was forced to resign from the House by a vote from both parties.

Evidence prior to a case which will be heard at the end of November, indicates that “Trump University” was a complete fraud. The “university” was nothing more than a series of lectures and seminars which proved to offer no benefit for those who paid Trump their enrollment fees.

Gingrich continues to besmirch Democrats with false statements and misdirection.

Trump has no weapons in his battle against Hillary Clinton with the exception of controversial attacks on her character.

Trump has one advantage over Gingrich; his temperament is far worse. With that one exception, they are a match made in hell.

Selecting Gingrich as his running mate is the only move Trump could make which would cause his campaign to be more of an embarrassment; well almost. There’s always a change that he could select Sarah Palin.

We all know how that would play out.
