Once Again Limbaugh Confuses the Facts

Traitor

“Democrats are making it clear they don’t care how corrupt their leaders are.  In fact, the more corrupt their leaders are — if it enables them to defeat us — the better,” Limbaugh said on his radio program Monday.

I hope he was confused and meant “Republicans.” If not, he is the most ignorant man alive. “Corruption” is a synonym for “Republican.”

Let’s look at the facts. Does anyone remember our 36th President? You might remember his nickname, “Tricky Dick.” Richard Millhouse Nixon was forced to resign the presidency after a break-in was revealed at Watergate. He was a proud Republican, and a corrupt politician.

What about Newt Gingrich? He was accused of 26 ethics violations, but convicted on just one. He, too, was forced to resign in disgrace. In his personal life, he was married three times. He divorced his first wife because she wasn’t “attractive” enough to suit his needs. He divorced his second wife because she would not approve of an “open marriage.” He served her divorce papers in the hospital where she was battling uterine cancer. What a great Republican.

Gingrich’ replacement as Speaker of the House was Dennis Hastert. Hastert was recently convicted of illegal money transfers. The purpose for the transfers? Hush money paid to a man he sexually abused as a minor on a high school wrestling team Hastert coached. Others came forward after he was exposed with the same charges.

Who could forget the worst president in American history; but we must group him with his vice-president who is “credited” with much of the evil of his administration. George W. Bush and Dick Cheney proved to be a blight on our nation and created a more dangerous world and a group of thugs who call themselves ISIS. After ignoring warnings of an ‘imminent’ attack on the United States, they proceeded to invade two nations. Bush stood before Congress and the nation and guaranteed everyone that Iraq had “weapons of mass destruction.” He lied. He removed regulations which allowed Wall Street to make sub-prime housing loans. The result was a near-depression. Cheney authorized the CIA to use torture as a means of obtaining information from our suspected enemies, forever damaging our nation’s once great humanitarian reputation.

Is the name Mark Sanford familiar? He is the greatest single proof that not only are Republicans corrupt, voters are not concerned as long as that “R” remains next to their name on a ballot.

Sanford was the Governor of South Carolina. He decided to take a vacation. His goal was to hike the Appalachian Trail. He never made it. Instead he used taxpayer money to fly to Argentina. His purpose? To visit his girlfriend, María Belén Chapur. He was forced to leave office and his wife divorced him. But that’s not the end of this sordid story. Republicans in South Carolina once again elected him to office in 2012 as a member of the House of Representatives. They were not concerned that he was a liar, a philanderer, and a criminal; he’s just another Republican.

Last but not least I leave you with former Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell. Yesterday the Supreme Court reversed he and his wife’s conviction of 14 charges of corruption while in office. A technicality will force Virginia to retry them both. Chief Justice John Roberts did not discount the reality that they are guilty, but a term used in the trial forced the Court to dismiss the charges.

Limbaugh continues to embarrass himself with lies and innuendos proven to be untrue and simply malicious.

Attached is a list of 54 Republicans who committed corruption while in office; and there are many more. Try Wikipedia.
