Okay, here I go again, slamming the major media; but I promised to always tell the truth; someone has to.
Actual news has become almost non-existent in America. Of course the media reports major tragedies such as airplane crashes, mass murders, (some of them), and horrific events such as those in a Florida nightclub, and the streets of Dallas. But they fail to inform the American people of important events in lieu of sensationalism.
The media loves Donald Trump, and are one of the primary reasons for his success. They cover him five-times more than any other candidate. They love his outrageous and un-American comments as he attempts to learn the English language. What they fail to do is expose him for his deceit, and his lack of proposals for the issues facing our nation. Omission is another form of lying.
The media hates Hillary Clinton. Instead of offering the American people her position on the issues, they continually mislead the American people regarding her favorability and her issues about trust. Both would be non-issues if the media and a desperate Republican Party refused to keep them alive.
Donald Trump is campaigning using three promises; he will build a wall between the United States and Mexico; he will deport nearly 12 million undocumented workers; and forbid Muslims from entering the United States. His only offering on the real issues was a tax plan experts claim will favor the rich, hurt the poor, and increase the national deficit by trillions of dollars.
The issue I am most unhappy about is the subject of Hillary Clinton’s e-mails. Even after FBI Director James Comey explained his recommendations in great detail, Republicans continue to cry ‘foul.’ Once again, the media is not defending the former Secretary of State. I once believed that the waste of time and money spent investigating the tragedy in Benghazi was the most transparent effort by the GOP to derail Ms. Clinton’s campaign, but the e-mail situation is even more opportunistic. While she was working for the American people around the world, Republicans were refusing to accomplish anything in Washington.
The Republican Party cannot be trusted to lead our nation into the future. It is regressive, not progressive. The very fact that they allowed the worst possible person in the world to become their party’s standard bearer is proof that they lack the intellect and ability to lead the nation and the world.
The truth is that Republicans cannot win a debate regarding the domestic issues facing our nation or the serious nature of international relations.
Trump is a clown who fails to make us laugh. We must not allow an orange ‘rage-a-holic’ to live in the White House and have access to the nuclear trigger.
These are extremely serious times, and Trump’s temperament removes him from consideration. The media must represent the people and not advertisers. The truth must be told. The once respected ‘fourth estate’ is no longer a service to the American people. All ‘news shows’ have become nothing more than entertainment.
