When ‘like-minds’ find their soulmates, they must recognize them and form an everlasting union. This is why I believe “Duck Dynasty Star” Phil Robertson, and Donald Trump must share the stage inside Quicken Loans Arena later this month and declare themselves running mates.
Neither makes any sense when speaking before a microphone. Both men are openly racist and bigoted. Neither has any knowledge about the subject matter of their rants. Perfect.
Robertson has found a new way to attack the LGBT community. He says that they are the blame for an increasing number of mass shootings in our nation. I’m not making this up.
Robertson has enormous support from within the Republican Party. He was speaking at the Western Conservative Summit last week when he revealed his ignorance.
His twisted mind encouraged Robertson to claim that ‘160,000 people were killed because of the 2015 Supreme Court Decision to allow same-sex marriage.’
Robertson estimated that 6,000-7,000 Americans died in the wars in Iraq in Afghanistan. “At the time of those two wars over the last 13, 14 years, you see going on right here in America, 160,000 were murdered,” he added. “Sounds like we got a bigger war going on here than over there. Well who’s behind it?” Certainly not Republicans, FOX Noise, or the NRA!
Robertson continued, “When you allow men to determine … what’s right and what’s wrong, you get decisions like the five judges saying, ‘I may not know we have 7,000 years of history of men marrying women. A male and a female. For that reason, they’ll leave their father and mother and cleave to one and other and become one flesh. I know it’s been that way for 7,000 years, but we know best for what’s everyone.’”
Robertson sounds like Trump; he knows everything.
What is most frightening; and I mean truly frightening; is that millions of citizens who call themselves Americans agree with this poor excuse for a human. The premier of the new season of “Duck Dynasty” Wednesday, was viewed by 1.4 million people.
The very idea that he aligns mass murder with same-sex marriage is more than preposterous. The LGBT community is the most non-violent single group in the nation. Homophobes, such as Robertson, have a long record of violence and murder perpetrated on the gay community.
I do not watch “Duck Dynasty,” but if I did I’m certain that I would hear the “stars” of the show claim to be Christians. Of course, they would be lying. Jesus Christ forbade His followers to hate or to judge other men. So much for religion; hate for hate’s sake is an abomination and the primary reason why our nation will never be considered “great.”
