Ruth Bader Ginsberg Fears a Nation Under Trump Rule

SCOTUS

I’m going to be bluntly truthful here; I cannot ‘sugar coat’ the facts. Anyone who supports a Donald Trump presidency needs to have their heads examined.

First of all, he is totally unqualified to lead our nation and the free world; he knows nothing, and has proven that he will not seek the advice of anyone else. He is a self-proclaimed racist, and a bigot. He proves that he does not believe in America by denying the Constitutional rights of others; taking the oath of office would be a complete lie.

Ruth Bader Ginsberg is our nation’s oldest Supreme Court Justice. It is rare for a member of the Court to offer opinions regarding upcoming elections. She has made an exception this year, and I join with and commend her for her honesty and courage.

She is concerned about his danger to our nation, and the danger to the Supreme Court’s future.

Asked about a Trump presidency, Justice Ginsberg replied:

“I don’t want to think about that possibility,” she said when asked about the presumptive GOP nominee winning the presidency over Clinton, AP reported. “But if it should be, then everything is up for grabs.”

The seat of deceased Justice Antonin Scalia remains empty, thanks to the obstructionist tactics of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. There is absolutely no doubt that if elected, Trump will reward his few supporters with important, even critical, high-level government appointments.

Scalia’s demise was a boon for those like myself who believe that extremism has no place in our nation’s highest court. He was so far to the right that he never considered how his decisions would affect the majority of the American people and their Constitutional rights. His sole purpose was to support conservatives who became reactionaries.

Trump is void of any knowledge regarding the workings of the federal government. His decisions would move our nation into a fascist state. Trump claims to know more than anyone about everything, when he actually knows nothing. What makes this fact worse, is that he refuses to take the advice of anyone else.

Trump’s supporters among Republican leadership have no respect and no history of success. Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell are failed leaders. Chris Christie has proven himself an ambitious politician without morality. Newt Gingrich is a disrespected criminal and a philanderer. Sarah Palin continues to seek attention, much like her idol, Donald Trump.

Influential Republicans, including the last two Republican presidents, and the last two Republican presidential candidates denounce the failed businessman, and will not attend his convention this month.

Trump has helped to create the “Two Republican Parties;” one including his supporters, and one including his detractors. Years of failed leadership under Reince Priebus and his cronies created “Trumpenstein,” and now he is their leader; representing the lack of principles of most of his party.

An increasing number of patriots are forming to state their belief that Trump would be bad for our nation, and a danger to the free world. It is undeniable that if we ignored his lack of moral fiber, he would still be un-electable because of his lack of experience at any level of government.
