How to Defeat ISIS and Al Qaeda

The Terrorist Hiker
At Store Soleibotntind

Donald Trump says that he knows how to win the war against ISIS. He claims that he ‘knows more than the generals.’ He fails to offer a plan, but does reveal that he ‘likes wars,’ even the ‘nuclear variety.’

I would like to once again educate the uninformed. Conventional warfare cannot defeat ISIS or Al Qaeda. Their “soldiers” are brainwashed and are fiercely loyal to their leaders. Their goals are not to win battles, but to sacrifice their lives for perceived glory in the after-life.

Hillary Clinton’s experience and knowledge is once again offering a reason why she must be our 45th president, and not the Republican leader, Donald Trump, who has proven his rash decisions would be harmful to our nation’s future and the safety of the world.

Only a coalition of the leaders of Muslim nations around the world can stop these terrorist groups. It is not enough to kill them; it is ultimately a battle to change minds. Young men and women are radicalized when their leaders fail to obtain the faith and respect of those they serve. Muslim leaders are the key. They must focus on the Quran written by the Prophet Muhammad, and not the revised version offered by terrorist leaders.

Trump’s idea of fighting anger with greater anger is a rash and radical solution, and it would only scratch the surface of a much larger problem.

Religious extremism is the most dangerous problem facing the modern world; just as it was throughout history. Wars are no longer fought on battlefields today; they are fought with ideas and dialogue. Terrorists must be convinced that killing innocent men, women, and children is in violation of the Quran and the teachings of Muhammad.

Donald Trump is part of the problem, not the solution. Claiming that all Muslims are terrorists only encourages young people around the world to accept radicalization. ISIS is composed of young people from all nations. We are not fighting against a specific country; we are fighting against ideology. Although it is based on falsehoods, young minds already confused, and doubting their leader’s intentions and abilities, make them easily swayed towards extremist views.

Donald Trump’s temperament disqualifies him to become our Commander in Chief. He has proven that he would not accept the advice of military leadership. The Joint Chiefs of Staff would be powerless to suggest rational action which would have a far better chance of success.

This election cannot be taken lightly. The media has enjoyed the ‘easy road’ given them by Trump. They have supported him and are directly responsible for his success. Although they are aware that he has no stand on the issues facing our nation, and of the fact that he is a danger to our nation and the world, they have given him five-times more exposure than any other candidate. The media has no concern about the serious issues facing the United States of America; they seek ratings.

A presidential election affects our people for at least four years. What must be considered are the candidate’s position on issues important to all of our nation’s people; vast knowledge of international relations and national security; and experience in all facets of government. If these are the guidelines for obtaining votes, Trump cannot be considered a viable candidate.
