Mike Pence Begins VP Run with Typical Republican Lie

Pence

The selection of Indiana Governor Mike Pence as Donald Trump’s running mate proves two things; no one with any credibility wanted to stand with Trump; and Pence is as adept at lying as his “soul mate.”

Speaking on July 12th, two days before his nomination was announced, Pence attempted to follow Trump’s lead and attack Hillary Clinton. The following statement is a complete fabrication of the truth; ala Trump.

“We don’t need is a president that took 13 hours to send help to Americans under fire and after four brave Americans fell said ‘what difference, at this point, does it make.’ Anyone who did that, anyone who said that, should be disqualified from ever being commander in chief of the armed forces,” Pence said.

Investigations by Republicans have proven that there was no possible way additional troops could have been sent to Benghazi in time to save the four lives lost in the attack.

Secondly, the Secretary of State is not authorized to send our military anywhere. In this situation, it would have been the responsibility of military officials under United States law.

So what do Indiana voters think about their soon-to-be former governor? He ranks 33rd in the nation, and has a slightly more favorable than unfavorable rating. He has openly admitted that his religion is first in his life, being a conservative second, the Republican Party third, and his country last. Pence led to movement to allow ‘fake-Christians’ to refuse service to same-sex couples. He believes in being judgmental and garnering hatred rather than understanding and compassion.

Pence will follow Trump’s orders and continue to attack Hillary Clinton, without a single mention regarding what actions he would take to solve our nation’s problems. Pence is a TEA Party darling, and a strong supporter of the Christian religious right; two actual reason why he should not be allowed to run for an office which could lead to the presidency. The TEA Party is a traitorous organization, and supporting Christianity before the nation and its people is a violation of the first amendment.

There have been eight investigations regarding Benghazi; most of which were conducted by Republicans in a thinly veiled effort to defeat Hillary Clinton. Millions of taxpayer dollars were wasted as our ‘do-nothing’ Congress failed to do its job while playing politics with a tragedy.

The use of a private e-mail was foolhardy by Ms. Clinton, but not criminal, and does not relate to her decision making as President of the United States.

The one thing Ms. Clinton can do that Trump and Pence cannot, is to run on her record as First Lady, Senator from New York, and Secretary of State. In politics it is often and fairly asked, “what have you done for your nation lately?”
