Michael Moore Believes Donald Trump Will Win in November

Michael Moore

It’s very hard for me to place “win,” and Donald Trump in the same sentence. Michael Moore did just that last night during Bill Maher’s coverage of the Republican convention. He gave valid reasons why Trump will win in November if Hillary’s supporters fail to go to the polls in very large numbers.

“I’m sorry to have to be the buzzkill here so early on, but I think Trump is going to win. “Moore said a bit later, “People are in denial of this, but the chance of [Trump] winning is really, really good.” There were boos from the audience. “Yes, boo because you don’t want him to be President,” said Moore, “but don’t live in denial about this. Because the very things that we are all [joking about], this is music to [Trump supporters’] ears. We’re sitting here in our bubble.”

I would like to say that I believe the people of our nation have enough intelligence to insure that Trump is defeated in November, but I do not. The “dumbing down of America” began with the advent of FOX Noise and the eventual capitulation of legitimate media which struggled in the ratings war. Sensationalism replaced facts and the offering of complete information.

The American people have become the laziest people in the world, as demonstrated by the fact that we are the most obese nation in the world. We accept everything we see and hear on television without taking the time to learn the truth. The very fact that Republicans win a single election is proof that voters are uniformed. They do not represent the majority. They are the party of the wealthy and special interests.

There is no such thing as the Republican Party. This group of ambitious men and women are using the name of a party respected men and women once believed in. They had ideals and served our nation’s people proudly. They were excellent deliberators and knew how to reach a compromise. There were less attacks on their opponents and more exchanges involving their position on the issues. None of that exists today. Today’s pretenders have one goal;  reelection, and retaining their lives of wealth and privilege.

It is frightening to believe that Moore could be right. A Trump presidency would begin Armageddon. The few proposals he offers are dangerous to both our nation and the world.

If Moore is right, and I am correct about voter’s lack of information, Canada and Mexico will experience large increases in their population, and more companies will be moving their businesses away from our shores. And that’s just within the first six months!
