I am serious about this. I want to ask all of you if you believe that our nation is more divided than at any other time since the Civil War? Thin about the fact that we have “red and blue states.” Do you believe that racism is growing and that big business is in control of our government? Do you feel the effects of income inequality? Do you support your gay friends in their struggle with one of our political parties? Do you believe that it is fair for the one-percent to have wealth beyond your imagination while families living in poverty are increasing in number each year? Do you believe that fair and sensible immigration laws must be instituted and nearly 12 million undocumented workers have an opportunity to remain in our nation? Do you believe in complete equality for all Americans and support women’s rights? Do you believe in the Constitution as it was written, and not the way it is defined by one political party? Is it fair to allow the NRA to prevent safe measures for the majority and allow a small group of gun nuts to support mass killings every day in the United States? Should our judicial system be reformed and require more extensive training of law enforcement, and change the laws to force judges to punish the poor and the privileged equally?

If you answered yes to even a few of my queries, you are admitting that there are two Americas. One for the white, protected, and privileged, and one for everyone else.

The platform adopted by Republican leadership at the convention in Cleveland guarantees that if they are in power every question I asked will be ignored. Domestic issues will favor only the excessively wealthy, and you and I will find our quality of life diminishing with every year.

No member of the working class can deny that Bernie Sanders has been completely accurate throughout the campaign season. Capitalism has failed the majority. The middle class is disappearing while the number of wealthy American increase in proportion to those living in poverty.

Our government has created a third world country. When you vote for a candidate, it is highly likely that he or she will refuse to support you when they are elected. They will support their own; the wealthy.

For me, and other informed Americans, ‘politician’ is a four letter word. They are the scum of the earth and the reason our Constitution is becoming a memory.

Republicans are attempting to eliminate the teaching of history in our schools. They want to forbid future generations from knowing the truth about America. It has never been and never will be a great country until the principles and values of our founding fathers are restored. Special interests including big business, the Christian religious right, The NRA, and those who would make our nation a plutocracy must be removed from government. Lobbyists must be recognized for what they are; bottom feeders.

Turn off your televisions and read. Add to your list of informative publications those from around the world who reveal the truth the American media is not allowed to expose.

The United States of America is run by corrupt, self-serving men and women who have no concern for you and your family.

Remember: I always tell the truth, and I always will.
