Trump Continues to Reveal his Thin Skin and Vindictive Nature

Donald the Fascist

We know of only one thing Trump is good at; criticizing his detractors. It doesn’t matter if he is uttering gibberish, or if he is attacking them personally, if you disagree with the failed businessman, you will feel his wrath. His temperament is so weak it often clouds his judgement.

We’ve heard him as he attacks Hillary Clinton; he has no other weapons. He is continuing his condemnation of fellow Republicans who opposed him in the primaries. Obviously, party unity is not of any importance to Trump.

Although the Republican Convention was held in Cleveland, Ohio, the state’s Governor, John Kasich, chose not to attend. Unlike other hypocritical Republicans who vehemently criticized Trump for his vile and dangerous rhetoric, Kasich remained a principled and moral man.

Ted Cruz, who had a vicious battle with Trump in the primaries, was allowed to speak at the convention. His speech failed to support Trump as he told voters to “vote their conscience.”

Trump has announced that he will likely create a political action committee to fund the opponents of Kasich and Cruz during their next elections. Trump said he wouldn’t do it immediately; he must concentrate on “Hillary bashing.”

Trump resists any form of unity. He said that as president he would not come to the aid of a NATO member if they were under attack, unless their “dues” were paid in full.

“We have NATO, and we have many countries that aren’t paying for what they’re supposed to be paying, which is already too little,” Trump told NBC.

Senate Majority Leader, Mitch McConnell, downplayed Trump’s comments and stated that such a measure could destroy the long-standing relationship between the United States and Europe. He called his idea a “rookie mistake.”

Trump responded: “He’s 100% wrong,” Trump said. “And frankly it’s sad.”

What’s sad for me is that Trump was nominated at the Pretend-Republican convention. I did not see a single true Republican in attendance. I witnessed a group of ambitious men and women embrace the worst possible candidate in our nation’s history.

When I heard one misguided man describe Trump as “Reaganesque,” I thought to myself: “I voted for Reagan, (his first term), and you Mr. Trump are definitely no Reagan.” For one thing, Reagan was eloquent, and Trump mimics the confusing speech patterns of Sarah Palin. Politically, Reagan would be considered a Democrat today.

While it’s true that Donald Trump did not permanently fracture the Republican Party by himself, he is walking evidence of its demise.

The event in Cleveland could not be labeled “Republican” without the presence of the last four GOP candidates. Bush 41 and Bush 43 refused to attend, along with 2008 nominee John McCain, and 2012 nominee Mitt Romney.

It’s too late now; the party is not and never will be united behind Trump. He doesn’t deserve their loyalty. He would become our first fascist president. Trump refuses to listen to anyone else because ‘he has a good brain.’ Just before he praised his own humility, he claimed to ‘know more than the generals about ISIS.’

All I can say to my Republican friends is “you created him, now you’re stuck with him.”
