Talking about his intentions to modify or disband NATO on “Meet the Press” Sunday, Chuck Todd reminded Donald Trump that France and Germany had been attacked by terrorists.
“They have totally been,” Trump replied. “And you know why? It’s their own fault. Because they allowed people over years to come into their territory. That’s why Brexit happened. The UK is saying, ‘We’re tired of this stuff.’”
“We have to be smart, and we have to be vigilant, we have to be strong, we can’t be the stupid people,” the US billionaire noted.
“Here is what I want: extreme vetting. Tough word. We have to have tough, we’re going to have tough standards,” Trump warned. “If a person can’t prove what they have to be able to prove, they’re not coming into this country. And I would stop the Syrian migration and a Syrian from coming into this country in two seconds,” he added.
Is he for real? I mean, really. He must be playing the biggest practical joke in history. If he’s serious, his brain is missing parts. Instead of joining together to defeat common enemies, Trump would make each country an “island,” closing its borders entirely. Really?
With every word Trump allows to escape from his mouth he proves that he is unqualified to serve at any level of government. To think that he could become the leader of the free world is extremely dangerous and very frightening.
These are serious times, and if voters cast their ballots to “send a message to politicians,” instead of considering the future, the very existence of our nation will be in peril. Trump obviously approves sections of the Republican Party’s platform which would require every person in the United States to “show me your papers” when voting or applying for work. We could have a fascist living in the White House! Would he have it repainted with black trim?
Will Trump change the “Pledge of Allegiance” to read “with liberty and justice for whites?” Hell, Pence definitely looks like a member of the Third Reich, and we know that he is a homophobe and religious extremist; but who is Pence true god? I believe it is power; “sieg heil.”
You know, this is too easy. Deriding Trump and Pence is far too tempting; they offer so much material. His supporters call Trump’s campaign style “unconventional.” I call it poor acting. Trump is a classic attention whore, and he has found his pinnacle. He receives five-times more attention from the media than all other candidates combined. Trump loves to hate the press. Every time he attacks them, they give him more attention.
If I could get Trump to listen to me, (it appears that no one can), I would educate him quickly. The war on terrorism will never be won on a battlefield; it is a battle of ideologies. Terrorism is the result of brainwashing. Its leaders use falsified passages from the Quran to radicalize everyday people. Every time someone like Trump condemns all Muslims, new terrorists are created.
He just doesn’t get it, and he never will.
