Many things can be said about Donald Trump, and none of them are good. He is disgusting, vile, hateful, and is a danger to the world. His greatest weakness is his intellect. He is one of the most ignorant men I have ever heard speak.
After it was revealed that Russia hacked the DNC e-mail account and exposed misdeeds by some of its members, Trump had this to say:
“Russia, if you’re listening I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing. I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press,” Trump said during a press conference at his Doral resort in South Florida on Wednesday.
“They probably have them. I’d like to have them release. It gives me no pause, if they have them, they have them,” Trump added later when asked if his comments were inappropriate. “If Russia or China or any other country has those emails, I mean to be honest with you, I’d love to see them.”
Are the American people willing to elect a traitor as their president? He has displayed the fact that he does not believe in the principles upon which the United States was founded, but to hope that national secrets have been hacked by a foreign nation is unforgivable.
I refuse to hate; I believe that it is the most vile emotion humans can have, and makes them weak. But Trump continues to drive me close.
I’m beginning to think that I need to ask my cousin if she has room in her home in Canada for my wife and I if our nation proves that it believes in Trump’s lack of morality and ideals, and he wins in November. With a choice of an attention-seeking buffoon representing one party, and the most qualified candidate in history leading the other party, there is no question; the choice is clear. But the millions of people who voted for Trump in the primaries truly frighten me. If my beloved country has that many men and women who support racism, bigotry, homophobia, misogyny, and xenophobia, the dream of our forefathers has died.
I wrote earlier today that I am disgusted with the many Bernie Sanders supporters who just don’t get it. If they truly believe in Bernie’s proposals, they believe in Hillary. They have never been far apart on the issues. Now they’re mad Bernie as well. What the hell has happened to basic intelligence?
This may become the most important election in history. Our domestic issues are crucial if our nation is to retain a middle class. ISIS is losing its battles in the Middle East and is resorting to attacks within cities. Turkey is in flux, and may become an Islamic State if Erdogan succeeds.
This is not a time to have an egomaniac with his hand on the nuclear trigger. Temperament is a consideration when we go to the polls.
There are millions of reasons to vote for Hillary Clinton, and millions more why we must send Trump back to his tower.
