Someone Help Trump Get Something Right: Anything!

Trump and Pence

Donald Trump was speaking at his Doral Country Club in Florida. He proved once again that he doesn’t have speech writers, or if he does, he fails to use them.

Trump was doing the only thing Trump can do; attack. This time he was attempting to discredit Senator Timothy Kaine; Hillary Clinton’s running mate.

He said that he was a ‘bad governor’ in New Jersey. There’s a small problem with that hollow, and general claim; Kaine was the governor of Virginia.

“Her running mate, Tim Kaine, who by the way, did a terrible job in New Jersey,” Trump said at a news conference in Miami. “He was not very popular in New Jersey, and he still isn’t.”

He was referring to Tom Kean, who was New Jersey’s governor from 1982 to 1990, when Trump was building his now failed casinos.

When someone eventually corrected Trump, he simply said: “I meant Virginia.”

Throughout the last year we have learned a lot about the ‘orange man’ who lives in a golden tower, and it is all bad. He has more failed business ventures than successful ones. He has filed for bankruptcy and failed to pay workers six times. His “Trump University” was a fraudulent effort to line his own pockets with the money of men and women desperate to find financial success. His racism has become more evident with every week. He has an extremely weak temperament, and will lash out at anyone who criticizes him. He has been accused of multiple unwanted sexual advances. His choice of a running mate proves that he is also a homophobe. His knowledge of international relations is nil. He loves war, ‘even the nuclear variety. Listening to him speak he must have skipped English classes in school. His statements regarding Muslims prove that he is a xenophobe who would isolate our nation from the rest of the world.

There is one good thing I can say about Trump. Although the media spends more time at his gatherings than anywhere else in our nation, he’s not on television 24 hours a day.

Trump’s biggest lies are told when he speaks about himself. We now know that he ‘doesn’t have a good brain.’ We know that he’s not very smart at all. He claims to be ‘humble;’ right! He claims he has great knowledge of all things, but has proven that he knows nothing. He won’t make things ‘great,’ and they won’t be ‘huge’ or the ‘best.’

Although I am an Independent, I have voted for a Democrat in the last five elections. I began this string of ‘one-party’ focus with Bill Clinton’s second term. I feared George W. Bush, who may have actually been smarter than Trump; and I was right to feel that emotion. I immediately liked Barrack Obama, but had always respected John McCain until his fatal mistake of choosing a woman who was less-qualified than Trump as his running mate. I was proud to vote for Mr. Obama’s second term. He had taken one of the worst times in our nation’s history and was reversing the situation. History has proven that Democrats continually rescue our nation from the failed financial policies of Republicans.

I will vote for Hillary Clinton in November. I was an avid Bernie Sanders supporter, and she is closest to his ideas. She is qualified beyond question, and will continue to improve life for the majority of our nation’s people.

Hillary Clinton speaks about the issues and does not revert to name calling and false accusations to influence voters.
