Trump’s Family and Supporters Reveal Enormous Desperation

Eric Trump

I have certainly been mistaken about many things in my life. I believed in Lance Armstrong; I thought Tiger Woods would break Jack Nicklaus record by winning more major tournaments than the “Golden Bear;” and I believed that Mike Tyson would retire undefeated. Oh well s**t happens.

Unlike Donald Trump, I will admit when I make a mistake. Some of my biggest errors are related to those who support Donald Trump. I assumed that they had at least some intelligence; that was before they fell in love with the “orange man.”

With the exception of Sarah Palin, I formerly believed that, although I despised them for multiple reasons, Sean Hannity, Newt Gingrich, Rudy Giuliani, Ann Coulter, and Rush Limbaugh had average, or close to average intelligence. Either I am mistaken, or else they simply hate the United States of America. They help me remember the one bumper sticker of which I actually approved: “When Racism and Bigotry Arrived in America, They Were Wearing a Cross and Carrying a Flag.”

Now our nation’s whitest family, the “Von-Trumps,” and other ignorant supporters, are showing their desperation. Trump’s own words are losing him the presidency. Eric Trump appeared on ‘CBS This Morning’ and blatantly lied that his father had apologized to the Khan family for his attacks against the parents of a fallen soldier. Sean Hannity doubled down on Trump’s tirade; adding his own attacks of Mr. Khan. Hannity desperately claimed that his impassioned speech at the Democratic Convention was purely political

Eric also attempted to defend his father’s statement about ‘service to his country.’ Mr. Khan truthfully noted that his son had died in the service of his country by sacrificing his own life for his fellow soldiers. He then asked Trump what he had ever sacrificed. Trump responded by saying that he had made a lot of money and created thousands of jobs. Really?

Dozens of Republicans have denounced Trump for his attack of a “Gold Star Mother.” Daily I read reports of longtime Republicans who say that they will vote for Hillary, stating that Trump is not fit to lead our nation.

But that doesn’t stop Trump supporters from claiming that they believe him. Once again; “there’s no cure for stupid.”

I have likely said it 100 times, but it is nearly impossible for me to believe that a man who spews fear, hatred, and prejudice has even a single supporter who is not a member of the Ku Klux Klan. Even his acceptance speech was nothing more than gloom and doom, celebrating the darker side of our nation.

I believe that we have had only a few great presidents; and that’s why I am opposed to “President’s Day.” Some should not be honored; two of which were in office during my lifetime. If there is not some comparison to one of our nation’s greatest, he or she should not be considered for our nation’s highest office.

One thing I know for certain; Trump cannot be positively compared to Abraham Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, or Franklin Delano Roosevelt.

However, he can be compared to previous ambitious and despicable men such as Richard M. Nixon, and George W. Bush. Our country cannot afford to have a clone of either of these disgraced men leading the free world.
