When Paul Ryan was asked if he endorsed Donald Trump, he said: “I’m not quite there yet.” Of course he eventually joined other hypocrites and offered his support for the party’s candidate.
Paul Ryan, and John McCain are up for reelection in November. In his usual vindictive manner, when asked if he endorsed Ryan, Trump said: “I’m not quite there yet.”
He also refused to endorse John McCain. Although McCain refused to endorse Trump, he said that he would vote for him. Trump has offered praise to McCain’s rival in the Arizona primary.
Trump praised Ryan’s underdog opponent, Paul Nehlen, for running “a very good campaign” and said of Ryan: “I like Paul, but these are horrible times for our country. We need very strong leadership. We need very, very strong leadership. And I’m just not quite there yet. I’m not quite there yet.”
Historically, this is political heresy. Trump once said that he wasn’t very concerned about party unification; he didn’t need them. I certainly hope that he doesn’t change his mind. There is zero possibility that the Republican Party will ever be unified again. Those who bowed to party leadership, and those who have no significance in the party today, but continue to seek notoriety, will forever be ostracized by the anti-Trump forces in the Republican Party.
Reince Priebus, Chairman of the Republican National Committee, must resign. He has proven himself an ineffective leader of his party. He is a servant of the Koch brothers and an enemy of both his own party and the people of our nation.
A true leader would never have allowed a Trump candidacy. He failed to work with other Republicans and expose Trump’s many weaknesses. Telling the truth would have been effective, but I’m not certain that he and his constituents have the ability to use facts effectively.
At least I will be honest here. I have little respect for Paul Ryan, and have lost my respect for John McCain. Ryan is just a younger John Boehner. McCain no longer believes in “country first;” he has become a “party first” politician.
But for Trump, the party’s standard bearer, to fail to support fellow Republicans is unheard of.
Trump continues to display his lack of moral character, and intelligent thought and action. Trump cares about Trump; he has no concern for his country or its people. Trump would rule our nation in the same fascist manner in which he runs his business ventures; which often fail.
The people of the United States must never forget the role played by the media. Without its support, Trump would have been easily defeated. If they would have had the courage to expose him last year, our country would not be experiencing one of the greatest embarrassments in its history.
The media was in no manner ‘fair and unbiased.’ Trump was given coverage five times greater than any other candidate; this is bias.
We can no longer expect truth or fairness from any of the media. All networks have followed the lead of FOX Noise and placed ratings ahead of actual news; the truth lacks importance; ratings and revenue are the priority.
If our nation fails its responsibilities and elects Trump, we must not forget that failed Republican leadership, combined with a non-existent fourth estate, are the primary factors for the destruction of our nation.
