I do enjoy exposing unqualified politicians who are not only a disgrace, they are also a danger to our nation. But let’s be truthful here; the real culprits are voters who fail to vet the men and women for whom the cast their ballots. Voting for a party and not for the best candidate is the cause of our government’s gridlock. These same uninformed voters now complain about our “do nothing” Congress.
Republican voters have elected obstructionists and extremists who want to remove gains made for the working class in the last 60 years, but they have no ideas to replace them.
A perfect example is Republican Senator from Arkansas, Tom Cotton. Cotton is a TEA Party tool without the ability or concern to serve the American people. He has proven himself a traitor to his nation and an extremely poor choice by the people of Arkansas.
He wrote the infamous letter to the leaders of Iran in an effort to destroy efforts by the Obama Administration to disallow nuclear proliferation. His xenophobia, and complete lack of the necessary qualifications to be an elected official offer added danger to the American people and the world.
No surprise, he is now involved in Republican accusations that the Obama Administration paid ransom for the release of American prisoners in Iran.
The State Department claimed that it was a coincidence that a $400 million payment to Iran arrived on the same day that four U.S. prisoners were released.
“As we’ve made clear, the negotiations over the settlement of an outstanding claim at The Hague Tribunal were completely separate from the discussions about returning our American citizens home,” Kirby said in a statement. “Not only were the two negotiations separate, they were conducted by different teams on each side, including, in the case of The Hague claims, by technical experts involved in these negotiations for many years.”
Cotton, in true “Obama bashing tactics,” fails to believe the facts. Once again he is attempting to create a conspiracy which does not exist.
“John Kirby and John Kerry and Barack Obama and many other senior officials have been lying to the American people about the nuclear deal with Iran for months and months and months and they are lying once again. This is a ransom payment in which you had taken probably small unmarked bills, palletizing them, and flying them to Iran in the dead of night. It was a ransom payment then, it’s a ransom payment now, and the consequence is that more Americans are being held hostage.”
This is what happens to America when a group of ignorant voters, who have no concern for the future of our nation, choose to gift a completely unqualified man with a life of privilege and power. Their only reason for electing Cotton was the fact that he had an “R” next to his name on the ballot.
The American people are the reason our Congress is dysfunctional. We elected the worst Congress in American history. The media has joined the uninformed electorate and supported the candidacy of Donald Trump. Those who support him, support failures such as Cotton; men and women who have no reason to receive the support of the American people.
