“If you want a job done right; get a woman to do it.”
I have been interested in politics for 60 years. I have become angry as men held the presidency, and controlled Congress while failing the American people. They were too busy measuring each other’s manhood to consider performing their jobs. They became fat and wealthy, while the needs of the many were ignored. With each decade the situation has worsened.
It’s time for real change, and that means electing more women to the House and Senate. For 240 years men have failed. They love a good war, even those we lose. They fail to understand that the minimum wage is not a living wage, and is a sentence for single mothers to live in poverty for perpetuity. Men have “kept women in their place” by supporting legislation which rejects their rights to control their own bodies. The men in Congress do not believe that women should have full equality in the workplace.
The only solution is more women, and fewer white, cigar smoking, old men in Congress. They have outgrown their usefulness. Misogyny has become acceptable. Time for a change.
Two days ago, one of the most useless senators in Washington stated that if a pregnant woman is stricken by the Zika Virus, abortion is not an option. Isn’t it interesting that men force their decisions on women; men who cannot become pregnant and have absolutely no understanding of the difficulties women endure from the day they are impregnated. When that pregnancy offers serious difficulties which could harm the fetus, the woman, or both, the woman will have many questions, and face decisions for the future of mother and child.
It’s easy for a man to say that “all life is sacred.” Other than the initial act of impregnating the woman, men have a free ride. They make no sacrifices; they do not face the uncertainty of giving birth to a child. And when that child suffers from serious illness or deformity, she is the one who will care for that child if she chooses to give birth.
This would not be an issue if the Christian religious right cult was not involved. This is one of many reasons why I denounce organized religion.
Finally, I have one question: how can any woman who believes that she has the right to have equality in all situations with men ever vote for a Republican? The ideal woman, for a Republican man, stays home, cares for the house, raises the children, and meets him when he comes home wearing a dress and fresh makeup with his favorite cocktail in one hand. When he wants to have sexual relations, the woman never refuses his advances, and is not interested in her own satisfaction.
If this is your idea of what a woman should be, you were born about 70 years too late.
Marco Rubio must not win in November. He admitted that he hates working in the Senate, and his voting record proves that fact. We do not need another misogynist in Washington.
