The mainstream media in the United States has become a farce. There was a time, when I was much younger, that the fourth estate protected the Constitution, and offered the truth to the American people. Without courageous journalists, Nixon would have remained in office. Those true journalists are part of our past, and those who replaced them are an embarrassment to men such as Cronkite, Murrow, Brinkley, and Huntley. Bush and Cheney were never exposed because of the cowardice of those who now claim to be “newsmen.”
Today’s “newsmen” and “newswomen” are merely entertainers. They offer a semblance of truth, but not all of the facts. Most importantly, they are afraid to challenge politicians for fear of reprisal, and the loss of ratings. Political correctness has destroyed all truth once treasured by the media.
I have made a promise to those of you who read my articles around the world; and I intend to keep it. The facts are undeniable, and our government must not hide the truth from the American people for any reason. National security is the security of its people. Governments act to protect themselves, not the people. The media has the same obligation. Unfortunately, they have joined other corporations who maintain that profit is more important than the truth; more important than the people.
There is absolutely no excuse for the fact that Donald Trump is a presidential candidate, representing one of our two major parties. If this is the best they have to offer, they might as well disband now and call the Republican Party a failure.
If the GOP was patriotic and cared about the future of our nation and its people, it would never have allowed a man who does not believe in America to become their standard bearer. America is the land of the free, the home of the brave, and promises liberty and justice for all. It is not a nation which supports racism, bigotry, misogyny, homophobia, and xenophobia. We are not a nation of people who believe that a few elitists should control our nation, while the majority fear for their future.
The American people are not stupid. We know that capitalism has failed the majority, and billionaires such as Trump, who profit when the majority suffers, are the destructive force within our nation. Hundreds of millions of Americans struggle daily to maintain a lifestyle which is merely survival. One-percent of the American people control 90 percent of the wealth.
These privileged citizens, live lives unimaginable to the average man and woman who struggle to give their families everything they need to enjoy life in America. Income inequality is not a political ploy; it is a serious reality.
The media has failed to report the truth. They have never denounced Trump for what he is; a charlatan, a buffoon, and a danger to our nation and the world. He is the most unqualified presidential candidate in history, but the media refuses to relay that fact to our nation’s people.
The media has given Trump five-times more coverage than all other candidates combined. The lack of courage by Republican leadership, combined with the cowardice of the media, is the only reason why Trump is now challenging Hillary Clinton for the presidency.
He knows nothing, has accomplished nothing, and offers nothing to our nation or its people. He is all rhetoric and has no substance. He is the male equivalent of Sarah Palin; and that’s as low as anyone can go.
If Trump had been exposed one year ago, our nation would not be in the sad state it is in today. They loved his once laughable comments as their ratings soared. CBS This Morning, The Today Show, and Good Morning America are nothing but entertainment. If any America watches them for “real news in the morning,” they are being misled.
So, here we are. Many of you may not think that you approve of Hillary Clinton, but if you go to her website and read her position on the issues, and care about your family, you will immediately realize that she will be a great president for the majority of the American people.
No more bullshit, America. Reality is sometimes hard to see, and even more difficult to admit. The bottom line is that you have a choice: vote for yourself and your family, or support a megalomaniac who will destroy the very fabric of America, and make the world a far more dangerous place.
