It Is Black or White: Trump or Dump Trump

Morning Joe

There can be no discussion about Donald Trump any longer. If you’re sane, you reject him; if you checked the box marked ‘other,’ you support him. By this time in the 2016 campaign season, there is not an ‘undecided’ position available.

This has been the strangest campaign season in our nation’s history. Trump defeated 16 other candidates; not one of them was capable of convincing Republican voters that they were a better choice for the presidency than an unqualified businessman whose record of failure is well-known.

On the Democratic side, no one expected Bernie Sanders to have the success he worked so hard to achieve. Although Republicans supported Trump in protest of GOP establishment, Bernie’s support was based on ideas, and a promise to represent all Americans, not just special interests.

The only thing Bernie and Trump have in common is that many of their supporters refused to support other candidates; in the case of Bernie’s most avid followers, they continue to denounce Hillary Clinton. Sadly, they are aiding and abetting the most dangerous candidate in history by failing to cast their votes for Hillary.

No one can claim to be undecided in 2016. There is no room for ‘confusion,’ or ‘uncertainty.’ We voters have a choice; we can vote for ourselves and our families, or vote for a man who would destroy the very fabric of America. We can choose to ignore the propaganda from the Republican Party, aided by the mainstream media, or go to her website and read her position on the issues.

The race for the presidency is not a popularity contest. The mistakes Hillary made in her past are mistakes made while she was working for our nation. Trump can’t be criticized for his mistakes serving the American people because he never has. All of his efforts in life have been focused on making money at the expense of working men and women, or angering residents in areas where he builds edifices designed to promote the Trump brand.

Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, hosts of “Morning Joe” on MSNBC, challenged Republican Representative from New York, Peter King, to stand up and either support Trump or denounce him. King is one of the best at “political speak;” he seldom answers a direct question. He is playing it safe regarding Trump. During his conversation with Scarborough and Brzezinski, he talked around the issue. It became obvious that if Trump wins, he will claim that he was a supporter; if he loses, he can reject the “orange man” and state that he was wrong for the country.

At the very end of the interview, the co-hosts forced him to answer one question:

Scarborough: “Do you think he has the temperament to be commander-in-chief?”

King answered: “Yes I do.”

Of course he was lying. No one in their right mind believes that Trump can control his temper, and fail to seek vengeance against his detractors. He can also be criticized for his propensity for violence, as demonstrated during his rallies.

I believe that the only wrong decision a man or woman can make is not to make one at all. I was originally a Bernie supporter, and caucused for him locally. However, when Hillary won more delegates, and received the Democratic nomination, I immediately moved my support into her camp.

Hillary Clinton will make a great president. She will work for me and those I love, and that’s all that matters.
